Lakeside inn is wonderful right downtown, walkable to it all. Very historic and scenic on Lake Dora. I'm as bougie as the next girl, but knowing youre staying here, the rooms are small and electrical outlets are limited, bathroom is tiny and limited space for putting things, walls are thin. With all that you have to remember this isnt a chain hilton and the character of the inn is what makes it beautiful. No coffee makers in the room and mini fridges upon request, but the main house has coffee and its actually pretty good. All in all a wonderful stay!

Love the view of the lake love the convenience of walking to town & shops .the restaurants were great on the premises! The rooms need a little updating with there air conditioning & the toilets …but most all things were beautiful ❤️

The grounds of this property are beautiful. It's a historic hotel with beautiful oak trees, the pool facing the lake. We stayed in the Sunset cottage, pet friendly the stairs and hallways were really dirty and smelly. The carpets were black going up the stairs. There is also an additional pet fee of 75.00 unless it's a service animal. The rooms were clean but the bathroom sink was so small it looked more like a school water fountain. No mini fridge to keèp cold water or leftover food. Small tv in the room and bed was very hard.Very good location to stay in downtown Mt.Dora in walking distance to restaurants and shops.

Everything was very good, except one of the bartenders. She had absolutely no idea how to make drinks (simple ones). They were having a couple of weddings, & homecoming. I was surprised with all these people the food came out excellent. As for the drink: I ordered an old fashion! She made it with seltzer water! Seriously

Mt. Dora is beautiful and quaint. The boat ride tour over the lake and through the canal is gorgeous! The stage coach ride was very informative and beautifully kept. Both of these left from the Lakeside Inn. Even though The Lakeside Inn was built in 1883, it is maintained so it continues to have the history and charm of being 140 years old, yet is very clean and updated with plumbing and wifi. Love that the hard of hearing are employed in the housekeeping department. They polish and shine everything every day! The food is scrumptious! Lots of healthy options! The entire staff is friendly and accommodating, and all work very hard to please. It is easy to see why many weddings and showers are held there. The only criticism we have is when these events are occurring, parking and driving in and out for the hotel guests is very difficult. Perhaps having someone to direct the traffic would be helpful, and also asking oversized vehicles to park in the adjacent lots would be very helpful. Trying to maneuver around them is very difficult.

Loved Lakeside Inn. Very nice property overlooking the lake. Waterside Bar, Outside seating for all meals. Inside dining room and bar were wonderful. Staff completely attentive and friendly. Just overall, a very lovely experience. Would recommend

There are several beautiful buildings to this historic property and this was the first time I've stayed in the main hotel building. It was a disappointment. Unlike the other buildings there was no ice machine available, no refrigerator in the room, and the room itself was tiny and felt damp. There was one chair kind of blocked by a closet door. Not the experience I have come to expect from Lakeside Inn. Several times I requested a few extra hangars and they never arrived. Ice was available at the bar which doesn't open until 11am. I'll return but request to be in one of the newer (circa 1920's) buildings. Still a favorite.
