South Park City is a recreation of the old mining days and has a museum complete with an entire ghost town to explore. Fairplay is about 10 miles away. Boreas Pass, Guanella Pass, Mosquito Pass, and Weston Pass are but a few of the many areas you will want to explore - especially in the Fall as this area is known for it's magnificent Fall foliage. You can take Mosquito Pass right into Leadville and explore dozens of old mines there. Breckenridge with world class skiing and shopping is less than an hour away, roughly 30 miles. Buena Vista with its famous rafting and ATV trails is 40 miles away. Colorado Springs is about 75 miles away. The home is located on Highway 9 south of Fairplay.
