We really enjoyed going there the staff was very friendly ,room was clean ,me and my daughter loved the pool and the jacuzzi,it was close to other site seeings
The staff at the hotel are fantastic. They went above and beyond to help with any requests . The hotel is beautiful and our room was spacious and spotlessly clean.
The only quibbles were the fact that there were no biscuits in the room and not many teabags or milk (I'm sure that this would have been rectified quickly but my husband forgot to ask!)
The only other issue was breakfast as they were trialling a buffer style. Unfortunately there was very little selection left and the wait for replacement items took a long time.
The hotel was very good. Nothing remarkable about it, just a nice place to stay. The seagulls were very noisy at 4 in the morning. Take earplugs!

Liked: Staff & service
Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
The hotel was okay and staff were amenable. Difficult location as on one way road with no pavements & local buses (which only ran every hour) did not go there so had to walk some distance to utilise.
It seemed as if not staffed up to cope with increased numbers, as was evident when coach party arrived existing residents couldn’t have their normal dinner time & either had to opt for early or late sitting or eat out.

The staff were very friendly but the decor was a little run down and the bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable.

It must have seen better days.
We stayed for one night only, on a Friday, and that was plenty long enough. The lady on reception was friendly. We had room 21 in the main hotel. Like many people have commented, this room was in need of some tlc. It was dated. The bedside lights didn't work. The bed was comfy but the sheet needs to be bigger. The bathroom has a rubbish shower and you need to be a fmeale contortionist to get to the loo paper!!
We chose to stay for dinner. The chap who served us our pre dinner drinks had no banter/carisma. The young waiter in the dining room used the word guys in every sentence! My husband enjoyed his haddock and chips which was the meal of deal of the day including a pint at £15. I had the plaice which was nicely cooked but it came with asparagus and new potatoes and just lacked a bit or....colour. My seafood platter starter was nice too. There was no atmosphere in the dining room. There were only about 5 couples dining - it was a cold experience.
Breakfast. I had to ask for butter and twice for brown sauce. My hubby said that none of the staff can have eaten their breakfast there as they would surely find a better way to keep the food hot. You take the covers off the bacon etc but there is no where to place said lid. Bizarre. NIce quality sausage and bacon though.
Very pleasant stay. We arrived very late in the evening but our key was available form the bar. Very easy. Good sized room - quiet and not overlooked. Didn't have time to go to the gym or pool but looked good. Excellent breakfast with enough choice to suit most tastes.
Minor issue that the carpark isaway from the main building so suggest drive to front door to deposit cases etc and then go and park car in car park (lots of space). Grounds seemed well maintained too.
We have stayed here previously but wont be staying again. We were placed in room 15 which was next to hotel laundrette, staff room and besides the workstaff out door smoking area which were all utilised from early morning. We could clearly hear the transversing through the floors from the guests upstairs moving and using the toilet which resulted in poor sleep.
The cooked breakfast was poor and practically unedible.
The hotel is dated and tired with the rooms not up to modern day standards.
The food produced is the best thing about the hotel and it’s a shame the rest isn’t up to the same standard.
