The property was very pretty. Lodge is very welcoming when you walk in to lobby. The night desk clerk was extremely friendly. We had an overall great experience, no big complaints. We did notify the water was not hot in our room after 10 min of running, we did take showers, but it was not hot. Night clerk was going to have maintenance on that. What you should know: Rooms very clean. No elevator. Beds very soft mattresses. No pets, no smoking. Great front and back view with lake. Deer were on property. No stores within 20 minutes. Gas stations, Subway, Godfathers pizza close by. Very quiet get away, exactly what i needed! Will definitely return!

Happen to be there on a night when there was no power everyone was fantastic so willing to help, our room was outback in the view was beautiful and since it was a warm night, no problem we enjoyed sitting outside until dark. We were sorry we couldn’t enjoy the pub Because I think it would’ve been delicious however, the lawn driveway entrance really does need some work other than that. It’s a very lovely place to stay and the staff is fantastic.

Nice place and would return again.
Liked the lodge enough on our way to Asheville that we decided to book it on our return. Our room was better this time around with fresher carpet and a retiled bathroom floor. This time we were told about the pastries in the morning (packaged muffins). It rained overnight so we didn't eat outdoors near the lake this time. Would recommend it to friends.

Quaint place off the beaten path. We did not really get to see the whole property because of the rain (not the Inn’s fault). No ice machine, you had to ask for ice at the front desk. When we left we had to call someone to take our keys as the check in process made it very clear you would be charged/penalized if you did ot turn your keys into the front desk. No business center, I needed to pint & fax something, so went to the local library for help, which turned out great. Would not stay again, but it was an ok stay.

Nice family owned lodge by a lake.
Just a little dated with the carpeting, which I suspect partly caused the musty smell when we entered. With the air-conditioning on, though, we got used to it relatively quickly. We only stayed overnight, but the price was good and it had the amenities we needed. Fridge worked better than most other hotels. Had a nice outdoor breakfast on a bench beside the lake, so I got some birding in as we ate. Overall, a pleasant stay and I would stay here again. Felt very safe.
