If you just need a place to crash, this will suffice. However, it's nothing like its description. Perhaps it was at one time, but now it's in serious need of some TLC. The room itself was small. It has 3 twin beds, but even with two of us, it was cramped. There was a distinct smell of mildew, and you could hear the street noise as if you were standing outside. The windows offered no barrier.
The location is not the best either. It says it's in the medina, but you need a taxi to get anywhere worth seeing.
The restaurant and staff were pleasant, however, and the view from the terrace is nice. Food is quite expensive here. While free WiFi is available, service is shoddy.
This was our third riad in Morocco and was easily the least desirable of the three. Riad Pachavana in Marrakech and Dar el Kebira in Rabat were both fantastic. I highly recommend both of them, but you should skip Palais de Fes.
