Close to train station and most places to visit Uncomfortable beds, unclean sheets , they don’t provide toiletries every day , they don’t change towels daily. Lots of mosquitoes in the room , even dead mosquitoes in the walls , very unclean Very week WiFi They only provide bed sheets for covers no more They also have not options in breakfast Laundry service is 18 euro per kilo , that is insane

This hotel is very convenient because it’s close to most of all the attractions in Florence. A couple of blocks from the David statue, like 5min walking from the Duomo and the rest. The breakfast was very good and the staff were friendly. The bathroom is big enough but the shower is too small, that’s the only thing I didn’t like about the hotel but besides that I have nothing else to complain. I would definitely recommend it!

Hotel California was a nice hotel in the center of Florence, within a few blocks of the Duomo. And we really enjoyed the view from our room that overlooks the Dome of the cathedral. Easy check-in with the hotel front desk. Since it's an older hotel, you do have to navigate corridors and steps to get to your room so it's not super accessible. The room has a classic look but the bathroom has been renovated and clean.

If you want to be in the center of all things Florence, this is a great location. You can walk to everything. Food, historic attracts, bars, shopping…within steps of the hotel. We stayed just one night for 24hrs in Florence. The hotel is older, but in good condition. We were greeted warmly by the staff. We paid online so check in was mostly seamless. We were asked to pay the city tax in Euros, which we didn’t have. All the other hotels accepted a credit card for the city tax. After pointing that out we were instructed that we could pay it later…with euros. Our room was great. Big comfy bed, remodeled bathroom with plenty of space, and a private patio. It is viewable from other rooms, but only accessible from our room. Sheets and towels were great and I appreciated the larger shower. It was very quiet in our room. We could hear our neighbor going in and out of their room, but that didn’t bother us. Breakfast was decent. Good selection of meats and cheeses, yogurts, hot scrambled or boiled eggs, and a variety of pastries and breads. There are two coffee machines for coffee/espresso drinks. There were three types of juice offered and bottled water. Limited cereal options. Parking…you will need to park in a garage. There is one right next to the hotel, but I’m not sure what the daily fee. It will be a challenge to get to it as the streets are narrow with lots of people, but it can be done. All in all it was a really great stay. We will be back!

Fabulous hotel with attentive and kind staff. Classic Florentine design. Pictures do not do it justice. Very clean and quiet. Checked out at check out time and stayed in the charming lobby almost 2 hours awaiting my travel companion - hard to leave!
