Initially this place looked good. But bedding and toilet/shower room need updating. Could also use better lighting in room. Pool was clean. Towels were nice. Lobby very nice. Place was virtually empty middle of the week so why were we placed right next to another guest? Why did that matter you ask? They came in at 12:45 woke me up and continued fighting till we hours of morning. Police were there when we were up in the morning.and had a guy in handcuffs.

Not what I expected. They'll leave the light on!
We stayed in the Executive Studio Suite (Cotton Suite). $360/night. I'll start with the positives. When we arrived early (2:30) the room was ready and we were able to check in early. The staff are very friendly and always willing to assist. The lobby was very nice with a dual stair case and Southern Plantation vibe. Lots of old southern style furniture in the lobby and second floor balcony over looking the lobby. The room was also decorated with the same Southern Plantation style furniture and dark red wall coverings. The King bed was huge and comfortable. The draps are eligant. The pool out back was nice and clean. Now for the negatives. The room curtains that were meant to provide privacy were broken. They would not close (neither of them). The mechanism that should have been there to hold them up in the middle was missing. By the time I noticed this issue it was too late, and because maintenance personel where not there. I requested a binder clip, so I could attempt a fix on my own. They could only provide paper clips. Therefore, I had to macgyver the heck out of the privacy issue. Also, the windows of this room overlook the front entrance under the huge coluimns and canopy. The lights under the canopy are on ALL NIGHT LONG. The windows very extremely dirty. There was no view. The bright lights flood through the broken curtains. I was able to close most of the gap with paper clips holding them together, but the room remained lite. I have a UV light, enough said. Gross!

The property was fine. Expedia misrepresented our room. We did not get the room we originally booked. The room was fine but it was not the king elite suite we had booked. I feel like I paid for platinum but only got the silver package. The staff was great.

No mini fridge in the rooms?
Nice, clean hotel with some southern charm. The only issue we had was no mini fridge in the rooms. I really couldn't believe that when we arrived. Bed was comfy and everything else was clean and functional. Breakfast was standard faire but had lots of options and was clean and kept stocked. Overall a nice night stay.
