While other hotels in the area were sky high for nightly rates, I found this hidden gem. My only beef is that I didn't get a room with a window. I will next time though! For the money and location, this is a steal.

Great getaway
If you want a great weekend getaway visit the Stricklin and Florence. The hotel is very conveniently located downtown with plenty of dining and entertainment options. Don't skip on the BBB!

Security is not a priority here
I ended up not staying here although the room was non-refundable. There’s only metered or parking garage a block away. I checked in to loud music from next door. Dirty flours. Had to pull into the alley to drop bags where I found both door security key readers disabled. Decided to to stay.

It was a very nice place and stay. Location is great. But the lack of parking is a major issue. There's a parking deck down the street or you can park on the street by the meters. I had to worry all night if my car would get towed.

Too LOUD. Very interesting design poor execution. You can hear every step, every word from rooms above and beside. Not much street parking close to hotel. Indifferent staff. Poor bathroom lighting, lack of hooks, cool glass shower door opens out and drips water all over the floor.

Parking is limited on the street near the front of the hotel. The parking deck is too far. My sheets had spots and the toilet was not clean. I loved the breakfast spot in the ground floor and the front desk folks were very nice. The hotel is cute and has a lot of potential. Do i think my rating reflects that. Cleanliness is key in my opinion. All it takes is a little uncleanliness to freak me out and I can't return.
