The room stinks so bad that we could not even sleep woke up with a headache and no rest. The owner or the staff gave me air freshener that night. Why did they give me air freshener if they didn't think it stink Got up during the night and spray again stills stink. There was no coffee in the room. I've got up and check out early. We couldn't take it no more. I told the staff about how bad it stinks; he told me it could be the air conditioner and he try another air freshener.

I went to spend some time in Van Buren, AR, near my son And I was only spending the weekend so I thought Motel 6 would be fine. I was wrong. It wasn’t a part of town. It was off of 540 and Alma Highway sketchy it not enough parking. Had a family emergency. The next day didn’t find out about it till after checkout time and they wouldn’t give me a refund so I got screwed out of that I asked for a non-smoking room and my bedspread was full of holes from a smoker, never use hotels.com again or Motel 6 again. I got attitude from the weekend crew because I had asked for a refund because I had a family emergency. No, you have to go through hotels. Actually she said you have to go through Expedia, which I didn’t use Expedia. She could’ve taken in consideration that I had an emergency. So if it’s a business trip, spend the extra money go to a nice hotel. Do not use this one because it is crap.

Yes, Motel 6’s are old and have some signs of it. If you want cosmetics outside post $50/100 more and go elsewhere. Our room was very clean with plugs for electrical devices, frig and micro, etc. the sink water did not get above warm but it didn’t matter to us as we weren’t showering. The front desk woman was a dear. The ice machine was working (many on our 6 wk cross country were not). We’d stay here again, no problem.
