Hot tub broken. This was a whirlwind visit to Italy and, knowing that we would need to wind-down at this point, the hot tub was the reason that we chose this hotel. I also question the location of the hot tub as guests must parade through the dining room (where people are dining) to access the location. We know this because we were allowed to have a few drinks on the roof top where the broken hot tub is located.
We also had a very strong, foul odor in our room when we turned on the air conditioner. The windows had been open when we arrived. I thought that airing the room might be hotel policy but, we were vacationing with another couple and their windows were closed on arrival and their room had no odor. When we reported the odor, we were told that someone would fix the air conditioning in the morning. It took a bit to get the staff to understand that we were leaving in the morning and to not move us was NOT a solution. We were finally moved to another room.
Although the staff seemed courteous on the surface, I suspect that someone knew about the faulty air conditioner before our arrival.
Some things to note:
An extension cord is advised for people requiring machines for apnea. Of the several hotels that we stayed in while in Italy, only one had convenient outlets on both sides of the bed for such machines.
Parking is on the street. A parking pass is given to hotel guests, but availability can vary.
Local shopping & dining closed in afternoon until 7pm.
