I attempted to book this hotel last minute at 11:55PM with my wife and two elderly parents because of unforeseen circumstances. Although I had booked for the date 9/6/23-9/7/23 and checked twice before I booked, the confirmation for booking I received was for the next day. I immediately notified Expedia (literally one minute after booking), and attempted to cancel right away. The agent who helped me contacted the hotel and hotel responded with “do not cancel the hotel and call management in the morning”. We scrambled through the city at midnight to find another hotel for the night as the this hotel was fully booked. We did as they said and called the manager the next morning. To our surprise, we were met with a condescending response that included “why didn’t you cancel immediately, you made us lose a customer, and you are playing a game.” I calmly explain what had happened. Manager hurriedly hung up the call and told us to email as they were very busy doing “check in”at 10:42AM. This is unacceptable, and If anyone runs into a scheduling conflict or issue with a booking I would hope you wouldn’t be accused of “playing a game” to sabotage a hotel. Please be aware of the unprofessionalism by the manager of this hotel. I would highly reconsider booking with this hotel as this kind of issue can happen any moment, and you will be met with such hostile attitude.
