I was the first time on Hawaii. The hotel was clean with full kitchen, balcony and safe. Parking per car was free and food store right after you exit the hotel. Cona coast river has a lot of barbeque zones and couple of swimming pools. Almost everyday in the evening was live music near thr bar. Actually, you need to drive to the nearest beach, probably 5 min drive, I recommend magic sand beach parking which has free parking and a lot of sand in the shore.

It was a nice resort on the water that was adjacent to a golf course. Beautiful scenery and up the hill across the street was a shopping center. That included a grocery store, gift shop, pharmacy, restaurants and a movie theater. Just to name a few.

Very nice property. They are actually condos which I didn’t realize when I booked so my traveling companion and I could have stayed in one condo instead of two. They use a wristband to unlock the condo and access the pool which is a really great idea instead of fussing with card keys. Grocery stores, restaurants and gas stations within driving distance. The condos were clean, the kitchen had tableware and cutlery, coffee pot, dishwasher, washer and dryer and they also provided two packs of laundry detergent. It was so nice to be able to wash my clothes instead of bringing home dirty clothes. The staff was very nice, we arrived early, one condo was ready so we were able to check in early and they called when the other one was ready. Be aware that they don’t provide daily housekeeping but you can always let them know if you need something. There is a restaurant on site but the menu is limited. The bed was very comfortable and I’m sure the sofa was a sleeper. The property is close to the main highway and it’s just a short drive down to the pier. It’s also south of the airport which I would recommend because there’s not much north of the airport. I would definitely stay here again.

It was a nice place to explore Kona and the surroundings. The room was huge and well equipped, especially the kitchen. I like the patio very much. Maybe it could be refreshed a little bit to be a more modern. The swimming pool is small but it was nice to have it. It’s also at a “walkable” distance from a beach for snorkeling.

The apartment was very clean and spacious, better than on the pictures. Kitchen has all needed appliances and everything to cook and enjoy your meals. There are washer and dryer in the apartment. We had a beautiful ocean view from the balcony. The property itself was very nice and well maintained. Nice pool bar, gym and garden overlooking the ocean. There is no beach access. Very convenient location as there is a shopping plaza across the street with a lot of options to choose from nice grocery store, bars, restaurant, ice cream and more shops. We are very happy with the stay at Kona Coast Resort and would visit again.

Weird vibe- it’s a timeshare property Mixed use. Awkward. Rooms are just ok. Dated, shabby and a bit dirty. ROACHES. They do not care and do not spray often enough. Could have been upfront about it. The pool doesn’t open until 8:00 am and workout room at 5:30 am. We had a nice view, but my daughters room did not and it had an awful smell (along with the roaches) The pool/bar/restaurant had the absolute worst service we encountered the whole trip. Kona is great, but don’t stay here. Look close at the numbers in clock below- yes, he is alive

Very dated hotel. For the money I had expected a much better room. It was clean enough so that part was good. However, in the area we were placed had mismatched paint in repaired stucco and wood. The walkways were cracked and chipping. The unit itself was decorated in the 80's and showed signs of wear. Bed was ok, but the towels were very thin and smelled of mold and bleach. From the moment you step out of your car, the timeshare people are on you. You can't even check in until they have your info. Ick . Also, there is no beach. The pictures in the ad showed a beach, but it is a mile away Best part was the view of the sunset from the bar and pool. The nightly entertainment in the bar was hit or miss.
