It's an older building. Stairways and entranceways were very clean and without visible dust or cobwebs. They also resembled a 1950's school redone. The hallways were low lighting. The rooms were old and simple. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Had a problem with the smell of marijuana in the hall and the front desk were on top of it. Hot breakfast was good. Outdated decor. But will stay there again.

Room carpet was absolutely disgusting! A/C had an odor and the room was very damp. The staff is very nice and the breakfast buffet is decent. The bed linens were very clean.

Upon arrival, I had trouble entering the building. Had to find a way in. Checked in was okay. Left the hotel around 3:00 am to go to convenience store. Had same issue trying to re enter build. Night Manager only does bare minimum to secure building. Gave me a load of grief after I re entered. Exterior Door Card Readers don’t work. I entered through automated Doors, that she only turned the switch off ( thank God). She was nasty.

This was a good choice for being close to Monocacy battlefield. Nothing fancy but cheap and clean. The pool was Not open but the clerk said it was because they were waiting on Maryland to approve the fence around it.

Great customer service, confusing layout
Customer service was excellent all around. The most frustrating thing about our stay was the layout of the hotel. It was like maze, and several of the outdoor entrances were exit only so you could not get back in with your key card and had to walk all the way around to the front. This made loading and unloading the car extremely cumbersome, especially since we were on the second floor, and there was no elevator. The room was very clean however there are no mattress protectors on the mattresses, which always makes me a little concerned in this day and age. The beds were not the most comfortable and the AC was struggling, although this is a very hot time of year. Shower was fine.
