Best in Fred!

Hands down the best place we've ever stayed in Fredericksburg! Layout is group friendly, while bedrooms and 3 baths offer great privacy. Lots of outdoor space to hangout and we enjoyed the gas fire pit. Super great location to all the fun stuff on Main Street. House was stocked with everything you could need - including cool amenities like ice maker, extra fridge and a big mirror in the oversized main closet. Hope to stay here again!

Abendstern was amazing

Our 3 night stay with sister/brother-in-law and friends was fantastic. Location was very close to main street with all the fun activities. House had everything we needed for a great get a way. Inside was well arranged where everyone had their own bedroom and bathroom. Enjoyed the multiple games in the garage that was very comfortable.

Awesome property!

The house was awesome! There were 6 of us adults and we had more than enough room. All of the rooms were large and spacious. It was in mint condition when we arrived. The garage was fun with the ping pong tables, foosball and shuffleboard. Loved the gas firepit in the back yard. Great location just 2 blocks from the main street with all the shops and restaurants. Also just 2 blocks from the World War II Pacific war museum which is a must see. One of the nicest VRBO's we have ever stayed at. Highly recommend.

Fredericksburg Fun

Abendstern is an amazing property with tons of amenities! The beds are very comfortable, the kitchen is well-appointed, and the house has lots of extras. The area was quiet and relaxing. You can easily walk from the house to Main Street for shopping, wine tastings, and meals. We have stayed in many short-term rentals across country and this is one of the BEST! We would definitely recommend Abendstern and will return!

Perfect Place to Stay

This place is the perfect spot for a weekend in Fredericksburg! The house looks just like the photos and is kept in perfect condition. The hosts do a wonderful job of having the little things you may forget or need, and easy access getting in. The game room and outdoor spaces give plenty of options for hanging out at the house. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious and comfortable! It’s an easy walk to Main street and after a long day of shopping or wineries, this house is one you want to come home to for the night. We left with all seven people knowing exactly where we want to stay next time we come back.

Walkable Main Street Hideaway

Love, love, love Abenstern. This property is close to everything - its in a quiet, lovely neighborhood and most importantly walkable - within a few blocks you are on Main Street visiting the many shops, museums, galleries and eateries, while still "coming back home" to relax, play games and hang out in an open concept home easily accommodating large groups. The yard is amazing - during our stay we were able to adore blue bonnets and other Texas native plants about to bloom. I loved how the house was recessed back - and after a long day, you are greeted with a Hill Country courtyard and outdoor patio (which was too cold for us this time - but will definitely plan to enjoy in a future visit). The bedrooms were huge, beds comfy, it truly is a home away from home. Our family loved the game room - foosball, ping pong, and shuffleboard. Every day ended with playing the games as a family and such wonderful memories were created! The check in was easy and we were warmly greeted via text by the owner. Highly recommend a visit if you want to have that feeling of a true vacation home.

Great for Large Groups!!

We were so happy staying here!! Someone put a lot of thought and consideration into the details of this rental! The rooms were well laid out, clean, and nicely decorated. My bedroom had a tower fan to use at night! The kitchen was amazing! Fully stocked, had all the little things from home that you'd want, and the coffee cups were big!! We spent our evenings playing pool, air hockey, and shuffle board in the game room :) There were also washers/dryers in this rental so that was a nice surprise! Would absolutely stay here again!!

The Gastenhaus was the perfect place to gather our kids and their children for a vacation that will last in their memories. Fredericksburg has so much to do, but the house was so perfect we spent most of time there, playing on all the "game tables", eating together outside or in and around the gas fire pit

Fun friend’s weekend

We spent 2 nights at Abendstern with 2 other couples. The house is beautiful and all the bedrooms and bathrooms were lovely. I am very fussy about where I stay and Abendstern did not disappoint! The kitchen is very well stocked and the furnishings are pretty and everything is well-kept. The game room/garage was our favorite part! So many games for grown-ups or kids. We also loved the outdoor fire pit area. I would definitely stay again and recommend this house.

Incredible House!

I spent a lot of time researching houses in Fredericksburg for our family outing as we needed 4 bedrooms for 7 adults & a small infant. This house was just incredible! So many extras like shampoos, cleaning stuff, spices, condiments etc came with the house. It’s my first time renting through VRBO but our adult kids do it all the time. They all agreed it was the nicest place they’d ever been. You could have slept 4 extra in the massive master bedroom closet. And the garage game room was such a hit with everyone. Although the oven knob was broken when we got there, someone was sent over immediately to bring a tool to turn it on so we could cook dinner that first night. We LOVED this house & highly recommend it to anyone who needs a bigger place to stay!

Outstanding property

The property exceeded our expectations....roomy, top of the line fixtures and appliances, plus games and a great outdoor space. Every bed was comfortable and quality linens were used in the bed and bathrooms. The owner provided us with a number to contact if there was anything lacking. We will book this place again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place to accommodate a group.
