Last Minute Stay
We made a last minute stop off on a road trip from Chicago after 18hrs of driving. We were exhausted & just needed a place to rest. Most hotels within 30 miles were fully booked, and Hotels.com had this one left. It was actually much nicer than I anticipated. It was pretty on the outside, and the lobby was nice. The bathroom is outdated, 2/3 lightbulbs burned out and pillows left a lot to be desired, but it was quiet and safe. Beds were comfortable and breakfast was typical of a hotel.

Decent property, a bit far from UF.. about 17 minutes. Nice breakfast. Room was good, quiet and clean. Bed was very comfortable! The outdoor windows of the entire building can use a good cleaning!

I paid for the room in advance and the hotel clerk said I had to pay for an upgraded room because it's first come first serve. When I said that wasn't right, she said it was hotel policy but managed to get us in the same room without an upcharge. The thermostat was broken. We literally had to remove the cover to change the temperature and the ac was loud and clunky. The shower was cold. There were people hanging out in the parking lot.My husband said it was unsafe for me to take our little terrier out by myself.

Very nice accommodations at such a reasonable price. Just a quick stop en route to Central Florida but staff was great and everything was clean. Omelet station for breakfast was delicious and a nice touch that was different from the bland breakfast most hotels have.

This is a very nice hotel. The only issue I had was the shuttle to the airport. Gainesville has almost no hotels with airport shuttle service, especially early in the morning. Before booking through Orbitz, I called the front desk of the hotel, and was assured that with 24 hours notice, I could be taken to the airport at 5:00 AM. I called as required, and was told their shuttle driver was "out of town". Although not clearly stated on the Orbitz website, I was told that the "free" shuttle service was not available for guests who book through a third party, such as Orbitz. They did, however, accommodate me by arranging for a taxi, but I had to pay the driver directly. They then reimbursed Orbitz, and I received a refund from Orbitz. A little bit of a hassle, but I was satisfied by their effort.

They were more than kind (had a pack of cookies for us on entrance). They did not overprice their bottled waters (0.50 cents). The pool area was very nice and clean, saw a pool-man check chemicals, towels at the pool to use as many as you wanted and a basket to return dirty ones to. Housekeeping brought new towels in a bag and hung on our door (3 day stay) because he had "don't disturb" sign up. Offered hot breakfast which was fairly good, and even had someone cooking up omlets in the dining area. Allowed dogs, but very clean anyway.

Night clerk that checked us in was awesome. Very kind and accommodating. Morning clerk for checkout was ok. We had no hot water in our room (#206) and we let the water run so long I felt guilty about wasting it. She did not offer anything for our inconvenience, just that she would tell maintenance. We didn't get showers. And the sofa smelled like cheese. The TV is also very annoying to try to use. But, the bed was comfy. The breakfast was good. They even had a waffle station and an inlet station. So that was nice. It was worth the $100 we paid but a hot shower would have made this a 5-star review.
