This seafoam-green beach house has plenty of space for everybody, whether you're gazing out at the waves from the top deck, hanging out in the garage-turned-lounge, or relaxing in the well-lit living room. You'll have seasonal pool access for a small fee. Dogs are welcome for a nightly fee, too!

The beach is practically in your backyard here, and you'll have an outdoor shower to rinse off after a day in the waves. The West End Marina, a few blocks over, offers space for your boat if you have one - check out the friendly bar and restaurant while you're there. For a one-time fee, you can access the tennis and basketball courts across the road and rent equipment. Stand-up paddle board rentals and surfing lessons are also available about half-a-mile down the beach!

This home has a fully equipped kitchen, as well as free WiFi. Finish the day out on the deck watching the waves roll in, then head inside for a family movie night.

Beach paradise
We loved staying at Sandy Shores, the house was perfect for us. Recent upgrades include new fridge, updated kitchen , new stairs and railings , new patio furniture , plush beach and bath towels provided. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our meals, the grill could use some TLC. The beach is gorgeous and just a short walking path. We are seasoned Galveston visitors and this house was one of the better ones we stayed at. Go enjoy it, you won’t be disappointed!!

Sandy Shores - Great place- great location - great beach!
The property is located within walking distance of the beach! The balcony/deck is perfect for overlooking the ocean, waves, and the beach. The property was clean, comfortable, and our family had an enjoyable stay! The kitchen is awesome!

Was hoping to make this our yearly get away for the entire family
Found a tick on me the first afternoon I arrived, our vacation was ruined after that as I was concerned about getting Lyme's disease. The family had to check each other daily to ensure no one had ticks. No wi-fi. No cable. House was dirty. No hot water in kitchen. Roaches. Smelled. Pool not on location. No dustpan to sweep. Had to go buy batteries for TV remotes. No boogie boards as described in amenities. Saw a rat on premises.

Serene Beachy Place!
The location says it all, nothing else matters. Well, almost nothing. The house was clean and decent. Bathrooms had a little mold growth, but we don’t relax in there. The door on the walk-in show doesn’t close all the way, minor TLC needed. We had to buy Ice. Overall, the location made everything nothing less than fantastic! Thanks to the owner / booking agent. Ohh, The stairs were very sturdy and nice!

Wonderful Family Time
This was our second year to enjoy this house. We love being right on the beach and the updated kitchen. The large covered porch is an additional plus. This end of Galveston is very quiet and peaceful.

Beautiful place, great check in method the killer was the check out time 10am, 11am is better.
It was great just as it was shown in the pictures, our only issue was check out time at 10 am, it would have been great to just include the extra 28.00 and allow check out to be at 2pm... We paid the fee for the extra time because we all woke up late around 10, but still managed to leave before 2pm. Other then that it was great!

The property smelled like too much cleaning products when we arrived, which we later realized was to mask the smell of cat/cat litter. We had two highly allergic people and were unable to use the bunk bed room or spare bathroom because of it. There was also a nonstop barking dog directly next door. When messaging the host, they didn’t do anything to accommodate for the remainder of our stay or provide any explanation. Only said a generalized response.

December Trip
I always ask myself before I give a review "would I stay here again?" The answer would be maybe. We really enjoyed the fact it was really easy to get to the beach. It has 3 bedrooms with 2 bathrooms. Lots of places to sit and dining table big enough to play games. My granddaughters really enjoyed the place, even in December. What I would suggest are: paint the baseboards, replace the pillows (they are so flat), replace the mattresses (they sweek & are stained), I could not lock the living room door by patio, and I could not unlock the master bedroom door to patio.

First...what a great view, location close to beach and close enough to restaurants. 2nd. It would seem owners haven't been there in a bit, as there are various things inside that need attention.. IE...tile mission near shower, can see floor joists. Several places on wall paneling literally breaking off wall.. With a bit of love this home would be great

Birthday beach getaway
Location location location!!! We absolutely loved this beach house. It was so close to the beach and being outside on the top deck was amazing. Had a little trouble finding the lockbox but that’s because we were busy trying to bring things upstairs. Came in and house was very clean and kitchen well stocked with pots and pans. We had one problem which was no kitchen or bathroom necessities the first night. Luckily we bring toilet paper, paper towels and towels just in case. The next afternoon someone came to give us everything we needed since it was late the night before. Other than that it was a quiet neighborhood and we will definitely rent out again.

The house needed a lot more cleaning. There was cigarette hurts, used napkins and an old bandage left at the bottom of the stairs. There was lots of sand all over the balcony. The baseboards and window sills were painted white with so much filth in them… months of dust, hair. Obviously had not been wiped down in a while. The air vents were filthy. The fridge was left with food particles in the drawers. The house has sustained a lot of water damage as the wooden walls were bubbling and ceilings showed lots of water damage. I would be shocked if this house didn’t have mold. Used soap and hair in the shower.

This the first time I’ve rented a beach house. House looks great online and not bad looking inside. We had a few concerns. Moldy smell especially in master suite. Mold visible on vents which was concerning. We had a difficult time connecting to internet but was resolved next day. Written instructions would help. Locks were a challenge. Views were outstanding.

At a glance, the house was clean, but upon further inspection, it is in need of a deep clean and some TLC. It is clear that the property manager has not been on site in a while. There are broken chairs in the living room, dining room, and outdoor seating. The walls are dirty, and the paneling is delaminating. Other than condition issues, the house had plenty of space, a nice layout, and great beach access.

Beautiful View
The view off the ocean side deck, is gorgeous! To sit outside and drink our coffee or to just sit and listen to the waves was amazing!!! The house had a few little things that were taken care of within 24 hours of reporting it. The a/c was our biggest contention, it kept shutting off. But we will definitely stay here again when we are in the Galveston area for vacation.
