Overall, the property was just okay. Our room was right on the creek, which was beautiful, but that was the highlight of the stay. The room looked like it was recently renovated but trim and other things were still falling apart. The bathroom had spatter on the wall that looked a lot like blood. We saw the staff for about two minutes so I’m not sure if they are good or not but they stress that there are no refunds. We walked to the downtown area, which was convenient. The property has two pools but they were closed for the season. Not sure how this property compares to the surrounding area but we will not be here again.

The Brookside is comfortable and cozy with a small useful area for minor kitchen activites. The room and beds were comfortable. Overall it was clean but improvements are possible. The staff is pleasant and deals promptly with needs. Had a lengthy stay and due to location to downtown Gatlinburg would do it again since it is not in the way of downtown traffic. Resturants and local transportation in area. A short walk into town is easy. Coming back is a bit of a climb so public transportation is recommended.

It’s an older property but very clean. Affordable, just up from downtown Gatlinburg. Nice balcony overlooking a mountain stream. Room was large & had wood burning fireplace if you were interested.

Was looking for a place for one night with an early departure for hiking in the morning. The staff in the office was super accommodating and friendly . Was not expecting the room to be as charming as it was, super clean, rustic decorations and the creek made the comfortable beds just that much better. Will definitely return to Brookside Lodge on our next hiking trip in the Smokies.

Staff was very nice , but the room was not. Spider webs were everywhere and carpet was very dirty. I am sure other rooms are not the same , so we will probably try staying with them again in a different type room.

The back is facing a beautiful creeek. Within walking distance to main street which was awesome. Breakfast is nothing to brag about, better off getting your own. The heater was awfully loud, woke us up several times. Parking is plenty, right in front of the room.

These folks really tried hard to make our stay comfortable. The stream beside the room was amazing and the real wood fireplace was incredible! We’re going back next trip to Gatlinburg for sure.

Definitely not a lodge, but a motel. Outside doors facing the parking lot and road. Both noise and light came through the front window and door at night. The "balcony" was dirty and dark and the view across the creek was of a parking lot. No window to creek and no screen to allow fresh air. Their website talks of a big country breakfast with fresh eggs and meat and potatoes. The actual breakfsst contained no protein, but only bagels, pancakes and biscuits and gravy. The pool was in the parking lot by the road and filled with leaves. At least the room seemed relatively clean, except for the speckles on the walls and the need for paint in the bathroom. Severely overpriced for what you get.
