Quick Getaway

Last minute decision to visit Gatlinburg. Cabin was as described - a bit older than expected. View and hot tub was great. Got daily visits from a family of bears!

Pleasing Stay

This is a nice, clean cabin with a pretty view of the valley below and mountains in the background. Perfect little outdoor deck on both floors, to sit and have my morning coffee. The winding narrow roads were an experience I didn't plan for, but after a couple trips to town & back I had it under control. Over all it was spacious and comfortable for 3 adults.

Perfect Tennessee cabin

The cabin was adorable and very clean. Perfect location for the places we planned to visit....Gatlinburg and Dollywood in Pigeon Forge. It was amazing to do busy touristy things during the day and then spend some relaxing time in the hot tub. We'll definitely be back!

Beautiful property close to town

The house was great. Check-in was difficult because we were given the wrong door code so we had to get in touch with the after hours call center and wait for help. The place was not cleaned prior to our arrival. The downstairs bedding smelled like urine, food crumbs on upstairs furniture, ceiling fans coated in dust, kitchen utensils and cookware covered in food and grease, and the floors were filthy.

Okay

Just okay. Television in one of the bedrooms did not work Only two trash bags; we purposely cooked two meals a day to save money so we could spend it in town. Hot tubs need rails; almost impossible to get out of. Might seem trivial, but those things were important to me.

Nice and quiet

It was a nice stay but the roads leading there were very scary. There was dog hair everywhere but other than that it was nice.

Wonderful property!

We loved our weekend at the cabin. The view is stunning and we spent much of our time enjoying if from the hot tub. The location was perfect for hiking in the smokies. We are very pleased with our stay and would recommend it to anyone!

Weekend get away

The cabin was really clean and it was very easy for us to find. Myself, my husband and our emotional support pet love how comfortable the cabin was. We enjoyed see all the different colored leaves that was falling from the trees. We did have a bear out side the cabin Saturday morning. The only thing I would suggest is there was no broom to sweep the leaves that got tracked in, so we had to pick them all up by hand. Also a Swiffer to mop, I had bought my own Clorox wipes to clean.

Stay at Chalet Village

We had a great stay! A bear got into our vehicle because we didn’t know to lock it lol. The only problems we had were that the floor wasn’t clean in living room and downstairs bathroom and that the deck with the hot tub seemed dry rotted. The rails were a bit loose as well. Other than that everything was great! Thank you!

We enjoyed our stay here, be warned you will see black bears! We could not believe how close they were to us while taking our dogs on a walk. Everything was just as it was described!

DO NOT book this listing.

Believe the negative reviews and do not book this listing. Upon our arrival, there was urine in the downstairs toilet, the fan in the downstairs bedroom was dangling from the ceiling, several railings were loose in the balcony, and many of the kitchen utensils were broken. The list of attractions for which you will receive free admission is inaccurate and misleading. The property management staff was rude and unwilling to help solve issues with the stay. We were incredibly disappointed in both the property and with Bear Camp Cabins staff. I will say it again: Do not book this property or any property with Bear Camp Cabins. You will be disappointed.

Cozy and secluded

We were very comfortable. A/C worked great. Hot tub is awesome! Several bears in the area. Bears were fun to watch. A alittle further from Gatlinburg and park than I thought. Overall we enjoyed our stay!

Definitely felt like I was in the mountains!

Nice! Fun times, clean place, great view, good location, quiet, bedding and beds were a+, drive was mountainess so be careful during inclement weather. Only complaint was one towell and washcloth for kitchen, low number of towells and no oven mitts (which we bought and left). We really enjoyed the place!!!!!

Excellent Chalet vacation for the holidays!

Beautiful cabin! Phenomenal location close to Ober Gatlinburg and Downtown gatlinburg! Plenty of towels. Too cold for amenities. Cons: the drive up and down the mountain is definitely NOT for the faint of heart. We got stuck when we arrived at the street where the cabin was. I called the management for help- they did not help AT ALL! We called a different chalet for info and they helped us find our cabin. It’s not easy to find. Please work on your customer service and the management should have known how to better help us rather than just leaving us stranded up on a steep mountain. ** it was 30 degrees in the cabin! Took 2 days to warm up!! Please please next time be nice to your customers and turn the heat on prior to check in! Also, no firewood provided! You need to bring your own!! They don’t tell you that! Wish we would have known ahead of time!! Overall, still give it a 5/5! Was a great vacation and the cabin was awesome!

Not clean

Overall the property was fine. We had to wash all the bedding when we arrived because it had stains on it. One of the couples was going to just sleep on the pull out couch but when opened there was food. The couch also smelled like urine. There were dried stains in the downstairs bedroom when we arrived which looked like dog feces that didn't get cleaned.

Frustrated

The amenities were not available for us to use specifically the work out facility and pool tables. No warning ahead if time. Club house doors were locked and when speaking to the clubhouse office, closed due to covid. Contacted the Chalet office and they apparently we're not aware. Told us we could drive half hour away to use community center which was open and pay to use the facilities. These amenities were essential for picking this location. Very disappointed. Property needs work. Cobwebs in living room and bedroom. Rug in living room was full of pet urine odor. Need to remove all carpet. Upstairs balcony had many rodent droppings. Front door all chewed up at bottom leaving a space of daylight to shine through. Paying extra to have our pet stay is expected but I don't expect to smell other pets urine. I will think twice before using properties in the chalet village. There was not even an offer of any compensation for the lack of amenities we were entitled to use.

Not overly impressed

We paid for a premium home that was not that. Down stairs bed matress collapsed to the floor because the slats where terrible first nite there. Home premoted the fireplace but you had to furnish your own wood. Spider webs galore. Very out dated decor and kitchen supplies. Charcoal grill is a terrible open metal box mounted on a rail. Cover for the hot tub was busted into small pieces. Broken rail and hole through deck behind hot tub(not safe for a small child or pet). Over all disappointed for the amount we paid to stay in this home.
