Cheap and cheerful over night stay for a gig. Pleasant staff, clean and tidy room up ALL the stairs. Heating rudimentary electric convector with slight smell of scorched dust, but effective. Bed had very supportive mattress and pristinely clean linen, but pillows were very thin. Tiny bathroom, shower hot but very narrow spray pattern. Very creaky floorboards, also in surrounding rooms - sounded like someone next door was walking around *our* room at one stage. I guess you get what you pay for...

The staff were excellent, all very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was delicious and freshly cooked rather than the buffet style warmers you get in a lot of places. The room was small but that's all I needed, everything was clean and in good condition, excellent eateries around and easy walking distance to the SEC. Would stay again.

Mattress and carpet seen their days needs replacing Mattress very unconfortqble springs stiking out and very bouncy 2 people cannot sleep on it. Carpet very old and worn out which make it look dirty.

The sandyford is a little outdated in decor but it is clean and has all the basic things you need for a night away. The beds are comfy and the shower is good. Its location is very good for music venues and shopping and has bus stops just round the corner.

Such a great hotel - not fancy, but it’s got loads of character. It’s cosy, clean and the staff are always brilliant. The location’s perfect for museums, galleries, shops, bars and restaurants. I’ve stayed here a few times now and honestly wouldn’t book anywhere else in Glasgow.

Staff were lovely and room was a nice size but not ideal for a couple. It was 3 singles with 2 put together. The gap between the 2 beds meant you couldn't lie next to each other and the double duvet wasn't large enough to cover 2 people with the massive gap in the middle
