Good and simple stay! I love the views in Parachute (really anything on the Western slope) + traffic is lower than anything East of Glenwood, so the quiet nights are perfect for peaceful sleep. The only concern was the shower set-up. They have the wrong type of shower curtain, no water barrier, which allows water out into the bathroom. We used the shower mat as a barrier which worked, but management or ownership should remediate to prevent mold and water damage. Also, I didnt mind paying the parking fee (even if we are in wide open space) because nearly every hotel in the surrounding area Glenwood is charging - the only caveat to this is that the hotel should be on the hook for damages/theft. If they are charging for "parking" they should be liable for anything that happens in their lot.
All in, I spent $140 for a 2-night getaway, not bad! I'll take it, especially after hearing some parents spending between $600-1000+ on their weekend trip prior to school starting.
