Arrived at check-in and there was nobody in reception, except an irate guest who had been kept waiting. When staff finally arrived after multiple 'translated' phone calls they did not speak english, at which point the other guest became very aggressive. The staff retreated into a locked office, saving themselves and leaving me in the lobby to fend off the violent guest until police arrived and restrained him.
Absolutely appauling service and complete disregard for my safety leaving me alone in this dangerous situation! And after all that that my key did not work!
All up, after making police statements, and more calls to obtain a working key, it took me 2hrs to check into my room. No compensation was given and no-one answered the phone to discuss it. I want a refund!
