Summerhouse West is located directly on Little Lagoon and across the street from the sugar sand beaches of Gulf Shores, AL.This recently re-decorated Two (2) bedroom, Two (2) and a half bath unit is located in Gulf Shores and sleeps 6 comfortably. Downstairs has a large/open living area with a sleeper sofa, love seat, Large HDTV, eating area for 8, a half bathroom, a laundry closet, and a fully equipped kitchen. The kitchen has everything you you'll need for your vacation including a Regular coffee maker.

Upstairs the Master bedroom has a King bed flat screen HDTV, a private bathroom, large closet, and private balcony. The second master bedroom has a King bed, private bathroom, a large closet, and a private balcony. Both master and guest bathrooms are full size, and come with sample sized shampoos and soaps along with all bath linens needed for your stay.

BEACHBALL PROPERTIES VACATION RENTAL POLICIES:


RENTAL AGREEMENT: Tenant Vacation Rental Agreement must be electronically signed to secure your reservation. Please read carefully. This is a legally binding document.

NO SMOKING: All properties are non-smoking.

AGE RESTRICTION: Must be at least 25 years older to book a BEACHBALL PROPERTIES vacation rental. A person 25 years or older must be staying at the property for the entire duration of the booking. There will be no refunds issued for anyone booking under false pretenses.

CHECK-IN: Check-in is at 4PM. Early check-in is not possible, sorry but no exceptions.

CHECK-OUT: Check-out is at 10AM. Check out after 10AM will be charged an additional day.

MONTHLY/SNOWBIRD RENTALS: Available from November through February. Call to ask about monthly rates.

PARKING PASSES: _2 parking spots__ Come with the reservation. U-hauls, trailers, boats, jet skis, buses, etc. are not allowed on property.

CANCELLATION POLICY RELAXED: Guests who cancel at least 30 days before check-in shall receive a 100% refund of the amount they have paid. For cancellations between 14 and 30 days before check-in, 50% of the total reservation costs shall be refunded. For cancellations made less than 14 days prior to the beginning date of the reservation, NO REFUNDS will be issued. Refunds shall not be issued for late arrivals, early departures, or inclement weather conditions including hurricanes and named storms. We do offer optional travel insurance which we highly encourage all guests to purchase.

WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING: Guests receive a “starter pack” of laundry detergent, dish washing detergent, one trash bag per trash can, and travel-sized shampoo, conditioner, and soap per bathroom. Starter supplies are not intended to last for the duration of your stay. Linens are furnished but please bring your own beach towels.

To far away from everything. Place had bugs and dirty food. Tried sending an email to the head about it and didn’t receive anything back. A lot of stairs. Did have some gorgeous view. Not really family friendly or appropriate for a child on the spectrum.

Convenient to beach, lots of stairs
This house is convenient to the beach and a nice size for two families with a baby each. We picked it so they could sleep while the adults played card games in the evening and it worked well for that! It does require a lot of stairs - there is another unit under this one plus the ground floor parking, so it takes two flights of stairs just to get to the front door. The complex's stairs are also showing their age, and felt precarious in spots. Our check-in time was delayed for housekeeping to finish and communication with the property was slow. The walk to the beach was easy and the boardwalk across the dunes well maintained.

Nice getaway for annual sister trip
Some initial maintenance issues: broken sliding door handle, difficult sliding doors, some lights in bedroom didn't work appropriately. Quickly resolved by property management. Sink drain in bedroom with sliding door drained very slowly. Was told coffee filters would be provided but there were none. Better parking identification would be helpful. Pool was nice. Beach access was good.

A great property in a great location! Perfect for our stay. Beach access on the quieter side of the beach. Condo was just the right size for 4 adults and 2 young kids. Beds were comfortable. Nice balconies. Overall a great unit.

Close to the beach, decent beds and sheets, a pool and a nice dock on the lagoon. If you don’t mind hoisting your luggage etc up 32 steps to your front door and then another 15 to get to the bedroom, you’ll like it. I wish that fact had been more specific on the website. If you cook, this place may not be for you. The kitchen is minimal. No baking dish or colander. The only drinkware is plastic. All of it! I understand there are tile floors, but really? The flatware is so cheap that it's uncomfortable to hold. The main cabinets on each side of the stove didn’t have a second shelf. It was a total waste of space. They had a broom/dustpan and a mop. No pail to put the water in to use the mop. I called and asked if there was supposed to be a vacuum and was told the owner didn’t provide that. So I swept and mopped the floor but the carpet on the steps was so full of sand, it stuck to your feet if you were barefoot. There's a small area rug in the living room so we couldn’t clean it. A simple vacuum would be a benefit to the owner to keep this place cleaner. We stayed a month so I clean while I’m there. Note to owner: The drain in one bathroom didn’t shut to take a bath and in the 2nd bedroom, the water pressure drops significantly when you get to a warmer temp. The handle on the hose by the parking space is almost completely broken off and needs to be replaced.

The overall house was lovely, but both of the showers were stripped… and you could hardly turn them off or on. I called the property managers office the day we got there, and she basically dismissed me. It was a long week of cold showers and NO water pressure! For the amount of money we spent, this should have been fixed!!!!

This was the perfect property for our family vacation. The bedrooms with bathrooms attached were great. The main floor living space was bigger than I imagined from the pictures. So many great perks about this property! The beach was a short 2 minute walk across the street. I would suggest bringing a foldable wagon to cart beach supplies. We absolutely enjoyed our stay. There was a minor issue with the pull chain on the fan and the management company was out right away to fix it. They were so easy to work with. The only bad thing I could say is the sheets were inside out on the beds and we were missing 1 pillow case on a bed. I would most definitely book this place again for a future stay.

Nice places, good prices, beach access could be better
Overall the condo was very nice. There are a lot of stairs to get up to it, which was fine just more difficult for my grandmother, 85, who was with us. We enjoyed time at the bay behind the rental fishing and the Pool was small but perfect for us. I will say the beach access that is listed was very hard to locate there is only a small sign maybe 8 1/2x 11 that marks the beach access and even then it is a sub par board walk that Is quite hard to get down with a wagon, which this day and age most people bring to the beach. The condo itself had some small things that you could tell were patched over or over looked like the balcony door was very hard to open as the door handle didn’t looked to put on right. All in all these are minor things. I would definitely recommend this place as it is more than enough for the price. I look forward to staying here again.
