Beautiful property

I preface by saying I love the Delmar and have stayed several times over the years. This time I noticed an overall lack of polish from the staff during my check in especially- the kid doing the check in took a phone call during, didn’t make eye contact , didn’t say what my room number was just handed over a key. Could’ve been better and more hospitable . The bar staff was on a similar level, when we sat down to eat at 8am after a full day of travel, the bartender went out of his way to note they “only had 90 minutes left until the kitchen closed and “thank god” . The property is otherwise perfect and I always have a great stay, but the staff , in this case) took away from the experience with their lack of hospitality and polish.

It was a great stay. Clean, well appointed and accommodating. One small item was having smaller bills for valet tip. Desk could not break a twenty and only offered "There's an ATM over there." That would be great if I wanted more twenties. It worked out well for the valet though.

Wonderful hotel! Elegant, lovely guest room, delicious food, friendly helpful staff. LOVED the help yourself coffee station off the beautifully appointed lobby. Beds and pillows ultra comfortable, bathroom spacious, terrific mini bar selections (though I refrained). Can't say enough good things!
