Great for a short break
Just a one night stop over in the city. Hotel next to railway station so a good location. Generally very clean but parts of room whilst clean were a little tired. Ie bathroom could do with an upgrade, windows could be improved. My friends had breakfast and thought it was excellent but I don’t eat breakfast. I would certainly return if in the area.

Carpet in our room was moth eaten. Saw one moth flying. Shower was broken. We reported it the first night. Person on duty did not offer to move us to another room or apologize. The person on duty when we checked out was much nicer and assured us it would be addressed that day. Breakfast buffet was good. Location is perfect. Just steps from the train station

Hotel was good, got checked in slightly early, room was nice, as was bar. 2 bad things, the noise of bottles getting emptied the next morning from pub behind us, and the shower would not get hotter than lukewarm.

Carlisle business trip
Overall a very good, cost efficient busitrip, looked after by very good staff. The only negative was my room faced out over to a very busy service alley with kitchen staff moving wheelie bins over pavement/ cobbles at the startof the shift- woken at 6am every morningof my stay= not good.. but id still use the hotel again, hopefully on the quiet side of the hotel.

No evening meals available but town is walkable and plenty of options. Bathroom in desperate need of updating, seems a refurb of the public areas is ongoing with painters everywhere. Rooms ok, all a bit dated and tired but priced about right and staff friendly enough. Parking a bit steep at £12, but no coincidence station car park available next door is £12.50 a day. All in all, bang average, bathroom from the 60s.

Hotel well positioned for the station. Comfortable and clean. Breakfast was excellent, a pity they don't do evening meals but the lady on reception said this might be in the pipeline which would be nice as the bar and restaurant very pleasant. Good value one night stay.
