Compare Ski Hotels in Hemphill

We were looking for a place to stay that would accommodate our two grown sons, wives, and two grandchildren. For a large group, this fits the bill perfectly. We loved the layout, the large patios (top and bottom), the view of the lake, the boat slips, and all of the space to move around in. The kitchen fit our needs (we didn't use the one on the bottom floor) and the house had everything we needed. The boat launch is just around the corner. The slope of the driveway was our only challenge. We had a great four days/three nights.

We had a great time, the owners are very responsive to messages. Camp was comfortable and has a great boat deck. Public boat launch only a mile away. Loved the covered porch! Very peaceful!!

They make you feel right at home and the property was just what we needed . Very quiet and close to where we are working. And a fisherman’s dream !

The advertising picture shows a view straight to the lake when in reality, there is a house on that foundation directly blocking the view. The house was very old and outdated and there were crumbs left on the bed covers in the room with the bunk beds. I had to wash the sheets before my daughter would stay in there. The layout is very strange. There is no primary bedroom with an attached bathroom. There is a bedroom upstairs that looks like it was added on later and it stays very hot in that room no matter what you set the air to. The closets are all very dirty and very small and we had trouble with a lot of the doors all throughout the house. The hot tub was disgusting, therefore unusable. Another drawback was there was only one television in the whole house. It was WAY overpriced and the owner actually told me he gave me a discount because they had recently had a water leak and some of the sheetrock was still missing. Never again.
