This was definitely one of our favorite places to stay. Beautiful views, convenient location, amazing room with so much history. Let’s not forget the breakfast that was included was absolutely fantastic and beyond delicious. The staff were also super friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back to visit not only this beautiful state but this amazing hotel.

Best hotel in Hobart
The hotel is centrally located, close to great restaurants and tours meeting points. The room was absolutely amazing, very spacious with modern decor. The best part was floor to ceiling window and balcony with the waterfront views. Very beautiful, could see Mt Wellington from the room. I highly recommend this hotel.

Macq 01 is truly a stunning hotel where every design detail is carefully thought out and beautifully executed. The unique storytelling behind each element adds a special touch that makes this place one-of-a-kind. What really stood out to me, though, was the incredible staff who went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable—almost like being at home. Every amenity is top-notch, and it’s clear they prioritize guest experience. I’d love to come back and stay longer! My only small gripe was being charged extra for a cappuccino, even though barista coffee was supposed to be included with the full breakfast. Other than that, everything was fantastic!

Buffet breakfast poor quality and bad value for money. Eg no smoked salmon in the buffet which is ridiculous in Tasmania. This puts me off using the hotel again. Also television in the bedroom did not work and staff unable to remedy the problem, Very unsatisfactory in a high quality hotel
