Having stayed a few times over the years (last time 6 months ago), I am sorry to say that the renovations are taking too long it almost feels like it’s going backwards. Prices have gone up, to match much better hotels in the area. It’s now at the point where it is no longer good value, the hotel is still very tatty, rooms and bathrooms are either old, or have been bodged. No aircon, no free wifi, the most basic tea/coffee facilities, very very budget breakfast. It still feels like a refugee hotel. It has the feel of a poor seaside hotel, but is priced like a modern 4*.
