I had annoying problems with not being able to get housekeeping to clean my room. One day they didn’t come at all, despite telling the housekeeper in the room next to me that I was leaving and ready for her. The next day after direct contact with the housekeeper, direct contact with the front desk, and two phone calls to the manager, the housekeeper arrived around 6 PM and did a very poor job. The next day, finally, after speaking with a manager, a housekeeper came and did a very good job.
A minor thing: I was being charged Ritz-Carlton prices but it is not a high end hotel. Immediate evidence of this is the incredibly tacky full-door restaurant and bar advertisements in the elevators. It definitely detracted from the experience and made the hotel feel much lower end than I think they want it to.
The other substantial issue is that I could hear the person in the next room talking because the walls are so thin. When I say this I don’t mean the SOUND of someone talking, I mean the ACTUAL WORDS they were saying. That person kept me up with his music one night until after 4 AM (at least it was good music though). Otherwise, I was pleased with the location and my interactions with the staff were friendly and helpful.
