Outdated, dirty, air conditioning didn’t work and got downgraded to another room we could’ve paid less for. Easy access to beach though, near a lot of restaurants/bars, great staff but not much to expect from a beach side hotel where sand and dirt is not properly picked up from the floors or bed sheets for new guests.

This hotel is in dire need of a total renovation! For 200 dollars a night alot more is expected. Mold in room and throughout the entire hotel, paint is peelinf off, super small elevators, small hallways going towards the bay view, rust on metal parts, towels seem old, they did have a room full of new materials like beds, pillows among other things, maybe they are replacing the old with the new. This hotel sits right on the beach and the amount of sand is pretty much everywhere, staff was courteous and friendly. And you nees to pay for parking aswell! Will definitely not consider staying here in the future!

Expensive for the room I end up getting. The A/C didn’t cool the room temperature stay at 75 degrees didn’t cool the room at all. No toilet paper the toilet look like it hadn’t been clean. Hair on the countertop. Now you have to pay for parking in which we didn’t before. And breakfast $14 dollars per person. Now that top it. I had stay there 2 other times before but this experience that I had with the property was terrible. Never again will I be going back. But I wasn’t the only customer who complained there were many others when I check in and checking out. To much money wasted for this terrible experience. Maybe new owners and over priced!!

It is a bit outdated, the hotel should invest and capitalize more from their priviledged location. The rooms are good in space and they were clean (except that the products like soap were empty when we arrived there, and no one came to replace them. The room temperature was nice and cool at arrival. THERE IS A GORGEOUS VIEW from the balcony, however, it did not inspire to sit there due to the lack of any type of barrier that separates from the walking area and our little balcony. Like any drunk person could easily spend the night sitting at our balcony. The balcony table had graffiti on it, and the seats were full of sand, like if someone was using them and no one cleaned it prior to our arrival, and that makes it look poorly kept. Shame on the people who actually did such a stupid thing like writing their names on the table. The pool needs more TLC and it would help to have staff around. There is an acrylic railing that was scratched and stained and needs a lot of work. I would visit again, but I would search for a better price.

I’ve stayed at this property throughout the years. My recent stay was the worst I’ve experienced. Neglected is about the best way to describe it. They’ve obviously made some attempt to improve a few things here and there but it needs a lot more. The bad over powers the good by far! And it’s sad because it is the only hotel on the water in the area. Fix it up!

The property is old and needs a lot of upkeep; it's noisy, and the shower did not work. I would not recommend this place. The only good thing is that it is located right on the beach.

It was raining so we couldn’t fully enjoy being on the beach. The restaurant was not open on Sunday. Ordered nachos from it on Saturday night but it was just ground beef on tortilla chips; no peppers & very subtle cheese. Fire alarm went off in the middle night & some occupants prepared to evacuate; no announcement as to what to do or if real. Seems like hotel which is quite old (stayed at it in the 90s) needs updating and more staff. Great indoor swimming pool but being on the beach is its saving grace.

This hotel needs to have to be remodeled, from the elevator to the rooms. You can hear everything that’s happening outside since the rooms doors aren’t sound proof. The first night, some individuals got into an argument , then got into a fight and we could hear everything. The customer service was excellent and that’s why I give it a 3 star. I’m hoping that the Holiday Inn Express next to Emerald opens soon.

This use to be my go-to hotel for Corpus, but it really has gone down. Mind you this is an older hotel, but it could really use a makeover. The tv was old school and didn't work, the drain in the bathtub didn't drain well, the ceiling in the room NEEDS to be cleaned. Other than that, the location is great because you can go straight to the beach from the hotel and IF the weather is bad, they have a big indoor pool, hot tub, and there's a little store inside the hotel as well. The staff was friendly and helpful. Next time, I'll have to pick a more updated hotel.

Liked: The location of hotel is awesome, right by the beach. They have an awesome bartender and he made the stay much more pleasant. Property is old and needs upgrades. AC was amazing in the room. Lots to see on this street, can wake up and walk the beach anytime, hang out at little bar over drinks and food. Burgers were amazing. Did NOT Like: Midnight front counter employee: Makayla (KAREN)!!! Ugh, she makes your stay impossible. Can't get towels from her, will only give you a towel if you give her a dirty one and she will only give you the size of the dirty towel you return. We were there 4 days/3 nights and she would only validate the gym card for 2 days because she said that was policy. But then when I told her we would be there for so many days she recanted and validated it until the last day but it was not easy. It's as if every request comes out of her paycheck. She emphasized she could "refuse service" when I got upset and demanded 4 towels. I had 4 in my party and she only wanted to give me 2. She was cynical and smirked and was extremely rude. She should NOT be working in customer service. When I spoke to Supervisor next day she told me to get what I needed before Makayla started her shift at 10 p.m. The guys that worked the front desk are super generous and anything you ask of them they give you, super friendly and prompt. This hotel needs to replace Makayla. She does not help the hotel reviews and knows how to attempt to ruin family vacations.
