We loved everything about this place, with one exception. All the pillows in the room were feather pillows. I may have been able to call downstairs and received something better. But it was late and I gave it a try. Everything else was absolutely wonderful!

Terrible room. Dirty bathroom, rug and walls. No water pressure. Water stopped when taking shower. Complained but never fixed. Don’t stay here. I left and went to Marriot Courtyard.

It was great, we had a wedding that weekend in New Bern NC . It was great being able to not have to drive home late at night. After we just drove a few minutes and were able to go to sleep.

The best thing about this hotel is the location. Everything else is average or below average in terms of cleanliness and service. They don’t provide room service but every three days, which this time was fine for us considering we were on a road trip and it was a one night stay, but I couldn’t imagine being a family or stuck in there for three days with no actual service. The sinks were super low. When my husband first said something about it, I thought it was because he’s 6’2” but I’m 5’3” and was hunched over that low sink (wasn’t an accessible room). It was just very low, low toilet, very little water pressure (had to turn around three times to get wet in the shower, and forget washing shampoo out of your hair). It seems like a hotel that has had a lot of cleaning & maintenance shortcuts and cutbacks. If Location is a thing that matters to you then you can probably tolerate it for a short period because it is beside a beautiful lake park and in the heart of history with a lot of things you can walk to. Otherwise, find alternatives.

It is a very nice place. We had a corner room with balcony next to park. Lots of activity at park made it noisy and less private. Breakfast and staff there excellent.

The balcony view of the river is absolutely beautiful. The location is central to everything. Close to a waterfront restaurant. We are very happy. The staff at the hotel are extremely friendly and helpful.

The Bitstro was amazing - the young lady that took care of our drinks and food one night was so very nice and full of personality even with everyone it seemed. It was a pleasurable and beautiful stay. We will be back again

We stayed here previously in the week on our way to Charleston, and on our way back north. We loved the location. The view of the Reuse River. Very walkable to the center of town where there’s shops and restaurants.
