Worst hotel ever
This is the worst hotel to stay at. We had an issue with checking in and the staff at the front desk was very unwilling to assist in anyway. Told us that all thonversations are recorded while the manager just sat on the couch and offered no help either. Once we got into our room the first thing we noticed was extreme cigarette smell. And we had to let them know right awat because they charge for smoking. Knowing this hotel they would have tried to blame the smell on us just to make more money. The bathroom was disgusting in our room and the room was dirty. Just over all a very bad experience.

Unacceptable Safety and Cleanliness
My experience was not the best. The sliding door had no lock, there was no way to secure the door. The door could not be secured either, it looked like it was previously forced open. I got two bed bugs after the first night, the refrigerator was noisy and only one elevator works, which seems to want to fall down from so much noise and unusual movement. Even the elevator does not have any inspection or maintenance information, it simply does not register or record. The reception is not qualified to serve customers, lack of professionalism for a Howard Johnson Hotel.

It was rather old and could use new rugs in the room. 1 elevator was broken and it wasn't as soundproof as other hotels I've been to. But it was convenient to a funeral we had to attend and had an ihop adjacent. It was clean and comfortable so we had a good stay.
