Absolutely loved Daydream Island. Even though its an island, there was plenty to do. And was great to lounge buy the pool all day. Food was amazing aswell. Trivia with Molly was great and the Trivia and the kids :)

Pools great for kids and relaxing. Very family friendly. Needs more restaurant options as only 2 and 1 downstairs is not the best food. Also needs longer service period of staff as no room service after 8pm and no room service during the day so with tired kids napping we had to wake them up and walk to downstairs to order which is terrible. No help or answer of phone after hours. Needs better cost effective opportunities to leave island to do activities and tours, as booked up quickly with their slots and not a lot of help and costs a lot to do transfers for a day for a whole family to Airlie beach or Hamilton, so you end up feeling stranded on the island.

Daydream was really nice, the island itself was beautiful. Some areas of the resort were a little run down, the shower in our room was not great in terms of design flaws, water spilling over the side due to lack of glass, the fan in the bathroom didn’t work either which meant it was a constant battle against condensation when showering, not ideal. Food was inconsistent across different dining options, even if you ordered the same thing it would come totally different on another day. Some areas of the resort were dirty, carpet and lounge areas in communal points. Good range of activities and lovers cove was beautiful, pool was nice too, staff were super helpful- Tour desk were great to organise activities through. Spa prices a bit high.

The condition of the hotel and the apartment was very unsatisfactory. The bathroom shower has visible mould and rust. We found droplets of blood on our bed linen. Dust balls underneath the beds. We were truly saddened, as my family work in the health field, and we rarely take time off work, and when we finally decided to holiday on “Day Dream Island Resort”, we were utterly disappointed with the state of uncleanliness and lack of hygiene evident throughout the entire Resort.

We stayed at Daydream Island for six nights. They were the worst six nights I have ever had on a holiday. This resort has a definite lack of customer service, the rooms are dirty. There were only a handful of staff who made our trip tolerable. If you book an ocean view room, your saving grace has been able to look out of the balcony window at the ocean. The other benefit was knowing that a boat was arriving dailyt to take you off the island. Shame on you Expedia for overselling Daydream Island you should be ashamed of yourselves.

While not as big as Hamilton Island, that has its benefit as being not too busy. Only need 3-4 nights to relax, try the restaurants and do the activities. Rooms are like a standard hotel room and not generous on space. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Credit to the resort for catering for gluten free people at breakfast. Living reef is awesome.

The best part of our stay was seeing all the amazing animals around the property roaming freely. We loved seeing wallabies, cockatoos, and other animals all around.

My recent stay at Daydream Island Resort was disappointing and did not meet the advertised luxurious standards. The limited menu, repeated for 9 days, served dried-out beef, chicken, and lamb skewers, alongside sour or rotten fruits and vegetables. Room cleanliness was inadequate, with uncleaned carpets and pests like roaches, spiders, and ants. Despite multiple complaints, the room's cleaning and bathroom water leaks were not addressed, posing safety hazards. It took 5 days and escalation to the manager to fix the TV remote and room telephone. The overall resort maintenance was poor, with worn-out, dirty carpets in common areas and unoperable facilities. The sting suits provided for water activities were in poor condition. Similar issues were reported by other guests, highlighting dated facilities, inconsistent cleanliness, and lack of entertainment options. Given the high price, the value of the stay was far from satisfactory. I do not recommend this resort for a relaxing and well-maintained vacation.

The room and pools were good. Tonic bar was good but their food and graze dinners were terrible. I ordered fish and chips and fish was literally half cooked, requested nachos for replacement and it came out burnt so much l couldn't even chip the chips in the bottom off the paper. Husband watched the chef bring out baked beans at breakfast went immediatly over to get them and they were cold, not cool, cold. Bought a hotdog at The Shack and it too was cold. Food outlets closed very early, even on Fri & Sat nights and NYE. Waited approx 50mins at Salties one lunch time and we were not the only ones, Mgr spoke with us and apologised, but at least meals were edible. Astronomical ferry prices restrict how much you will use them and have very limited activities on the island, sth side of island was like a ghost town. Place needs a very good scrub, very dirty. Air conditioner in room was noisy and kept us awake most nights and exhaust fan in bathroom did not work. Would not stay again, left 1 night early to stay elsewhere, even though we had paid at Daydream, just to get away. No information in room for how to contact reception or room service. TV very faulty. Paying for jetski's is fine but to hit ppl up for photos, taken on instructors phone is ridiculous, little things count - make 1 complimentary. If someone complains about a meal being undercooked - refund it, it could have killed us! Most of the staff were friendly, but some rude. Very very underwhelming experience.

Dirty rooms extremely dusty everything in the room, dirty hallways, flooded hallways, mold on hallway carpets, dirty breakfast dinning room, extremely slow staff, No music at the swim up pool, No Tomato sauce, no sand on the beach, mould in showers, no fish and chips for kids, no ice, bathroom fan not working, TV hang all the way up the ceiling with exposed wires on wall. Fans not working in breakfast dinning room, Ripping customers off on food and drink cost! I ve been to 3rd world Communist Cuba among other resorts around the world and their resort hotels are 5 times better compared to what I paid for in a beautiful daydream island Australia.

Had a great family holiday with 2 adults and 2 teenagers. Rooms were great and very quiet with comfy beds. Great selection at buffet breakfast and so nice to sit by the aquarium. Kayaking, snorkeling, nature trails and lots of day tours as well as relaxing by the pool. Only fault is the menu for lunch and dinner. It didn’t change, even the specials, and we got bored of the food quite quickly. We also were stung with the fish we caught ourselves - $35/ea to cook it and only 2 of our 4 ate it. Would have been good for reception to tell us this beforehand. We were also told we would get sides for that but were charged for everything and when I questioned it the next morning, our bill couldn’t be found.
