Beautiful resort villa with a private pool and spectacular ocean views at the Mauna Kea Resort. Villa 327 is a beautifully decorated 3 bedroom, 3.5 bath paired home that offers a spacious floorpan, a private pool deck, spill-over hot tub and large glass sliding doors for the perfect indoor/outdoor vacation experience. The owner spared no expense and added developer upgrades throughout the villa, including an extended lanai area with lounges and seating for your whole group, two outdoor showers, and upscale Tommy Bahama furnishings. The villa offers two master bedrooms, each with king size beds, flat screen TVs, walk-in closets and gorgeous en suite bathrooms. The third bedroom has a king size bed, television and its own private bathroom with a shower. This villa was designed for your ultimate vacation with a fully-stocked chef's kitchen, ample seating and dining options, and every detail to make this the most comfortable vacation home to entertain and relax in.

Guests of Waiulaula Villa 327 may purchase resort access to use the Mauna Kea Resort Club facilities during your stay for $180/day in 2024 and $195/day in 2025 + tax, per RESERVATION (not per person). Purchase of this membership includes the following privileges at the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel and the Westin Hapuna Beach Hotel facilities: Charging privileges at both hotels for dining and activities, access to hotel beaches and pools, use of towels, lounge chairs, umbrellas, reduced golf rates, tennis (court fees apply), use of two fitness centers (yoga and group classes available for a fee), and an access card for preferred parking at the hotel.

Starting April 2024, the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel will be undergoing a major renovation. The Westin Hapuna Beach Resort and all associated amenities, where Wai'ula'ula Villa 327 is located, will *not* be impacted by the renovation and will be open as normal. Big Island Fun
Just back from a wonderful three week stay. Our villa was perfect for the four of us. Really appreciated the two master bedrooms which provided all the amenities, but also welcomed privacy. Spent the bulk of our time outside by the pool & hot tub with wonderful views of the Pacific. Unit was well stocked with everything required, most especially the kitchen. It was nice to have access to both nearby hotels (albeit a fairly pricy add-on). The management company was super helpful, offering a painless checkin and clear instructions. We very much look forward to a return visit in the near future.

Lovely home, but with issues
On the plus side, the home is beautifully designed on the inside with a spacious family room/living room/kitchen with a large subzero freezer/refrigerator and huge central island --- perfect for a family that enjoys cooking, eating and being together. The two master bedrooms and adjoining bathrooms are also spacious and comfortable. The lanai with hot tub and adjoining pool enjoy great privacy, beautiful views, and the outdoor television is a real plus. The gated community is also very safe, secure and well maintained by a large number of gardening staff. There is a terrific community club house that includes a modern gym and nice pool. A golf course winds its way through and around the gated community and provides much of the nearby scenery. Unfortunately, there were minuses. When we arrived on day 1 following our long flight, car rental and drive, we could not enter the gated community because we had been given the wrong passcode to the gate. This was enormously frustrating because no one answered the phone at property management and we had to sit in our car for several hours before we were able to persuade a homeowner to let us in. The home itself is not free-standing but rather it is a part of a duplex that shares a wall and driveway with another home. Advertised as having 3,500 sq feet, but in fact, it’s closer to 2,500 sq feet (indoors) and this should be corrected. The garage was locked and inaccessible, so we had to park our car in the driveway, and there was no room to turn around. In fact, there were several occasions when we could not move our car in or out because of parked cars from the neighbor! The internet was strong in the living/dining room but spotty in the bedrooms. Perhaps the most disruptive and anxiety-provoking problem we encountered was on the morning of day #4 when all of a sudden all 4 toilets wouldn’t/couldn’t flush and two started overflowing. We contacted the property manager who reached RotoRooter, and although it took 4-5 hours for the truck to arrive, the serviceman was able to fix the problem by clearing out the outside drainage line, which he speculated may have been invaded by plant roots. Despite these problems, overall we still had a great time in a home with many positives but a few negatives.

Awesome house and kitchen. Plenty of cookware and sharp knives. No hooks or towel bars for bath towels in the large & wonderful bathrooms was a little curious. Really enjoyed !

Gorgeous home in paradise
What can we say about this luxurious home overlooking the ocean and mountains surrounded by rolling golf course scenes. The house was exquisite in design and is supplied with absolutely everything one would need from a real chef’s kitchen to beach chairs for the incredible Kapuna beach just situated across the hiway. Oustanding experience, thank you for having us!

The perfect home in Mauna Kea Residences!
We have stayed at other homes in this area, and this unit is the best! With both a pool and sauna with clear beautiful views of the ocean, it's heaven. The home is very well appointed, with everything you could possibly need. Clearly, the owner spends time in the kitchen, as everything is top quality. The home is clean and spacious, with each bedroom having it's own bath. There are 2 outdoor showers, which we also really enjoyed. This is a great community. Also, for a fee, you have access to the two hotels, their beaches, restaurants and amenities. The best of being on vacation, while feeling like you are at home. Thank you for having us!
