Initially booked a suite and, upon arrival, was told they only have one kind of room, there are no suites on the property. After showing the employee the reservation on my phone, he again stated that they only had one kind of room and they were not suites. We were not offered any sort of refund for the price difference. I suggest that they waive the pet fee in lieu of the room downgrade and was met with a stern no. Pet fee was non-negotiable. We were just out of luck.
Having forgotten that this was THAT place, I inadvertently booked a room there again. Upon arrival this time, after midnight, having just gotten off work, was turned away and told they were overbooked and I’d need to call the third party I booked through to cancel my reservation and get my refund. This was not what I wanted to be doing at 12:30 in the morning after a long work day. And thirty minutes later, I’m informed that it takes 7-10 business days to process the refund. And then there I was, 1am and having to find another hotel in the area.
