The staff was great upon check-in and the fantastic lady running the continental breakfast was an absolute delight. Zero complaints about the staff. However, in Room 415 the door not only didn't deadbolt - If I hadn't been there to be able to force the door to latch my wife would've slept with the door unlocked all night. I notified the front desk upon check out - I sincerely hope the issue is addressed because that is not safe whatsoever.

Requires Top~Down Cleaning and Refurbishment...
Apologies, but cleanliness was a HUGE issue ~ Floors and carpeting in common areas and my room were in need of deep cleaning, possibly replacement ~ There was a musty, “off” smell immediately apparent when entering my room (#304); not overpowering, but not something a guest should encounter ~ The last renovation is getting tired and beginning to show wear and tear ~ Breakfast: scrambled eggs were fluffy and very good (and I do not like scrambled eggs...) but the rest of the breakfast buffet was minimal and the cream danishes were just awful, real “bargain basement” stuff ~ Clerk at check in was friendly, efficient and, in all, couldn’t have asked for better ~ Clerk at checkout was NOT unfriendly, but clearly uninterested in providing customer service beyond the minimum required ~ For near $200 per night, this was simply unacceptable.

Exceptional property for price and location. We got a room on top on backside away from interstate and we never heard a sound even though they were completely booked. Very good hot breakfast ~even offered pumpkin spice flavored Texas shaped waffles! Very friendly staff. Thank you so much, we will be back!

Over the weekend Sue in the breakfast dining area was a breath of fresh air. She is so hospitable, smiled, waited on everyone making sure we had what we needed and wanted. She is a gem and a good reason I would stay there again! On the opposite side, the day of checkout, I went to get coffee and saw breakfast was set out at 525 am. We were getting ready to check out and head home, which is an 1100 mile drive. I was getting ready to grab a muffin and a young man told me breakfast didnt start until 6 am. I explained I was checking out and just wanted to grab a muffin but he would adamantly not allow me to. I felt like a child being reprimanded! Very poor customer service. All the food was set out. What difference did it make to him, seriously? I have no complaints otherwise. All the housekeeping staff were pleasant and very respectful.
