Great staff and fantastic views, very short walk to footpath for Helvellyn. Great lake walk straight out of the back of the hotel. Decor a little dated, but cosy and well worth the money. Breakfast is very nice as well.

Great views while enjoying a cuppa :-) Shower took a while to get to an acceptable temperature and water pressure very poor. Everything else as expected for an older property

The location was perfect . The bartender , cook and receptionist did a perfect job - it was all Dale - he was great . The hotel and view could not have been better .

Character old house set in a picturesque quiet location. family run and friendly, good breakfast. centrally located to make exploring the lakes easy. would stay here again.
