Requested beachfront, was behind a dune. Lights flickered entire stay. Floor was ripped worn and sticky. Breakfast was good, a convenient location. Would not stay there again. Don't know what the large building was like.

We really like the updated room but there was only one mirror - in the bathroom (no mirror in the room itself). When my sister was drying her hair & putting on makeup, I had to wait till she was done to dry my hair & put on makeup. Please add at least one more mirror in each hotel room.

We had a relaxing time. The gazebo by the beach was an incredible addition. Loved that!!! In the room, we had a kitchenette which we loved. There were ample pots and pans, although a larger frying pan would have been great, and cooking utensils. But no plates or cutlery of any kind. We had to run into the kitchen and take what we would use. If there is a kitchen, that should be supplied in the room, along with dish soap and sponge. We will know for next time.

Other guests left their small dog in their room and it would bark continually. The front desk staff called the guest but they continued to vacation without their dog. This was not the hotel fault except allowing pets that are not properly supervised. I probably won’t stay here again.

Perfect Fall Beach Getaway
This place was perfect for a quick beach getaway. They have a wonderful beach and gazebo you can enjoy before the beach. I booked a partial view room and it was basically full ocean view. I loved Kill Devil Grill across the street for lunch/dinner also. Dan was awesome!! Can’t go wrong with the free breakfast or High Stack pancakes down the road!

We checked in got to our room at 9pm and left. Anyone could get into the building you did not need a key card to enter. The halls where extremely tiny and hard to get luggage through along with the carpet looking nasty and smelled bad. Got to our room and it was not as pictured at all. And was not clean. Gnats where all over the room. We went back and talked to the lady checking people in. She said there was nothing she could do and could not refund us. Needless to say we where out of $200 and they did not care. Would not recommend to anyone. I was extremely disappointed. We ended up at a Holiday Inn.

Lots of remodeling has happened here and it looks great. The room and properly very clean. Extremely hot water, bed great shape, breakfast lots of variety. The only negative mark is the walls are a litlle thin of hearing rooms ear you but not bad to leave a negative mark. Will definitely be back again.
