I stayed here over Memorial Day weekend while waiting for my workweek to start back up. On Memorial Day itself, I went down to get breakfast. I took two plates for myself back to my room, which I ate completely, and did so very cleanly in the process. On the way out, the franchise owner was actually yelling at me, screaming. He treated me like I stole something. I paid for my room, which includes breakfast. I have NEVER heard of a hotel having a policy like that, much less attempting to enforce it with such confrontation.
When I was getting ready to do laundry, I put quarters into the soap dispenser. It says “slide will lock out when empty”. It takes the quarters and nothing comes out. I go up to the front desk, and the same man insists that I pay another $1.25 for the same box of soap behind the counter. He was extremely rude and treated me like a second-class citizen. You cannot be that cheap, lack integrity, and expect your sh*thole of a hotel to continue prospering. I hope his hotel goes out of business. He obviously isn’t investing in the property itself anyway.
