Wonderful bungalows in a fantastic location!
This place is fabulous! Private access to a wonderful beach, great bungalows with unbelievable views and a fantastic restaurant that serves cocktails by the pool with a great vibe. I honestly don’t understand how it am only be a 2.5 star place. The bungalows are basic but have everything you need and there are different levels depending on what you want. I will be back multiple times and I would definitely recommend!

High Life is the place to be on Koh Phangan!
Love the High Life! Love Haad Yao, love Koh Phangan Thailand! The peeps at the High Life are the best! Tok, Noi, Bhoda they all try their best to make you feel at home and they do! If you get a chance to stay at the High Life you should... try the Thai Spicy Seafood Salad, try the Panang Curry with Chicken, definitely order the No Nane and wash it all down with a Sang Som and Coke! We’ll definitely be back at the High Life again!

The location is beautiful but the whole resort is not managed very well. Many things in the main area (e.g. pool) and in the bungalow were dirty or damaged. The staff was not very friendly and attentive. We did not feel very welcome during our stay

Nice spot for the beach
These bungalows are set on the hillside and have direct beach access down 80 steps. The resort is made up of garden view and sea view bungalows and they are basic but ideal. If you want to rent a scooter you need to visit a place next door and they also do laundry.

Highlife Bungalow was great!
The food was amazing! Some of the best on the island! The staff was very helpful and friendly and the pool was phenomenal! If you are looking for a great place to stay this is it!

OK, but you can do better than this one.
I don't feel it deserves the reviews that made me choose this place. The rooms are clean upon arrival, but in the four days I stayed there, they didn't clean them once. The next place I stayed in was much cheaper and they cleaned almost every day, replaced the water etc. Pool is nice, but its a walk to the beach down hill, which is ok, food is a little expensive and average. But the two things that I didn't like is that the guy really overcharged me for a bike hire, I found out, it was an old bike and he was charging 250 bhat a day, you can get one for 100 a day in this condition. Also, I left a swimming costume in my room and went back to get it, and it had magically disappeared, they said they threw it out. I guess these are small personal problems, but the other places I stayed in were much more personal, cheaper, and better.

Awesome
Really gorgeous beach bungalows overlooking Gulf of Thailand with great beach scene only a stairway down the hill. Good food at the outdoor restaurant and away from the fullmoon party stuff. Definitely will stay again!!!!!

Very very nice place. The view is amazing, the pool is the best. The cheaper rooms are perfect, clean, smell nice, bed really comphy. Just one thing, the food is just average at the best and more expensive than going just down the steps to the beach.

Over all a nice place to stay, but a lover priced for what you get. My room spacious, fairly clean, hot strong shower, the room was fairly clean, but could be better considering price. My room was at the top of the “cliff “ so I had a nice view but a lot of stairs to climb every time I came and went, which was often. For my purposes as I was there for a course I didn’t care about the view I needed to have easy access to room,asked for one a little closer to street level but not surprisingly they said they didnt have any other, but I passed by a few which seemed empty. Location is quite good, close to some restaurants etc...and Haad Yao beach is just down more stairs from the hotel main area (pool restaurant area)this beach in my opinion is one of the nicest, quietest,compared to others, beaches on the island. The restaurant is nice, laid back vibe lots and quiet little spots to hang out and good food. The staff although not rude, were not the most welcoming of people. Didn’t offer such a great welcome, didn’t help much with any information about the island or help with finding or navigating the island ...your on your own, so if it’s your first time in kho Phangan you will need to find everything on your own. Also on a daily basis they barely took the time to say hello when you walk by, which I find strange for a hotel there was no real hospitality. Over all I’d say my stay was ok but I was glad to move on to a much more friendlier Airbnb property afterwards.

Such an amazing spot. Up from the beach so the view is fantastic. The sea view bungalows are high in the trees and birds and butterflies fly all around you all day. Forgot to book a third night so I moved to the wooden bungalows. They are super cute but there are no screens in the windows so you can't hear the birds or the waves. Shower water was very hot (if you want it) and plenty strong in both. I loved this place and would come back in a heartbeat. Food is nice and there are plenty of vegetarian options. They have a few snorkels you can use for free and a bunch of pool floats. The snorkelingnext to the hotel isn't the best ever (coral isn't colorful) but there are lots of cute fish. There is no getting around how many stairs you will have to climb to sit on the sandy beach or maybe up to your room. Totally worth it for the nice breeze and view. I had bronchitis and it was still fine for me and worth every step. It was really clean and everything smelled neutral (not musty and no perfume smell to cover things). You can walk to Zen beach and the yoga and vegan food spots but some will find that a bit far. A songthaew to there will be 100 baht. Getting to the resort from the pier is 200 baht. Most people rent a scooter. I think Zen beach isn't as nice as the beach the resort is on. Amazing sunsets. If it rains you can still chill with a nice view.

Amazing experience.
Such amazing place with amazing people. Our favourite chill out place is at the bar with awesome views and they serve good cocktails. Restaurant foods is good also that we had most of our meals there without the need to leave the grounds. There is a short cut to Haad Yao beach from behind the bar. Nice bars along the beach. The room by the pool had great views from the pool overlooking the turquoise beach. Roo, is spacious and clean. Quite comfortable bed. Only thing is there is no kettle provided in the room and free bottled water is only provided for the first night. There is only toiletries, hairdryer and hangers. Hot water shower is good and good water pressure. The bigger family room with 2 King beds is also big and spacious. All rooms have balcony with hammock. Wifi is available everywhere and works pretty well. 7-11 is about 10 minks walk by the beach. Bike rental is also available from the bungalow. Overall an amazing place which is very highly recommended.
