This wonderful oceanfront home was recently renovated and includes all-new metal roof, windows, interior/exterior doors, luxury vinyl plank flooring/ceramic tile throughout, bathrooms, and granite countertops. It has also been freshly painted with many new furnishings for the upcoming season! Includes WiFi internet, 4 flat-screen cable TVs, DVD, central A/C, ceiling fans, Adirondack deck chairs, picnic table, swing, grill, and starter house supplies.

If you want to stay in a family-friendly atmosphere -- and enjoy a breathtaking million-dollar view of the beautiful Atlantic ocean at your doorstep -- then you'll love your stay at Kure Beach at this lovely home! This incredible oceanfront cottage is an affordable getaway in the heart of Kure Beach, on Pleasure Island. It's within close walking distance of shops, restaurants, and the renowned Kure Beach fishing pier!

This home has a spacious deck with a covered porch swing, a grill, a picnic table and resin Adirondack style chairs. Perfect for your picnic or barbecue, listening to the surf and feeling the ocean breeze. Watch the waves rolling in, seagulls flying by, and dolphins frolicking in the ocean -- right in front of you! You'll have your own walkway to the beach, and the convenience of an outside shower. There's plenty of parking too.

This home is ideally suited for a small family (with 2 double size beds and 2 queen size beds). The master bedroom (with queen size bed and cable TV) is on the lower level and faces the ocean. There is also a full bath, a living room/den with a big picture window (also looking out to sea) and large LED flat screen TV, a full-size kitchen with updated appliances and dining bar, and a pantry with front-loading washer and dryer. Upstairs there are two additional bedrooms with ocean views and a shared full bath. One of the bedrooms has two double size beds (with cable TV) and the other bedroom has a queen size bed (also with cable TV).

Every room is decorated in a seaside theme in festive colors. It is smoke-free and pet-free. Amenities include WiFi internet, 4 flat-screen cable TVs, DVD, and telephone service. Routine departure sanitation service is included. Bedding/linens/towels are not included but may be rented at very reasonable rates.

While vacationing at our oceanfront home, you'll be surrounded by plenty of attractions. Great surf fishing is available -- on the Kure fishing pier, by charter boat, or off the beach itself in front of the cottage. For sightseeing, Historic Fort Fisher, Carolina Beach State Park, and the NC Aquarium are favorite local attractions on Pleasure Island within minutes of the cottage. A short drive will take you to historic Wilmington and the Battleship North Carolina -- just 15 miles away. And you may wish to take a day trip to beautiful Southport, by the NC Ferry system at nearby Fort Fisher. There is always something to do for everyone in the family!

For those of you who have vacationed at Kure Beach before, you know what a true gem this beach is! This special home is located in a residential section of the island and is ideal for a family vacation or a romantic getaway. Kure Beach II
This was our second trip to Kure Beach. We visited Airlie Gardens, Carolina State Park, Jungle Rapids and took many walks on the beach. The highlight was the turtle nest excavation at the end of the property boardwalk. Sea Turtle Project volunteers released 14 turtles from the nest into the ocean. The property was close to everything and was easily accessible for my elderly mother. Jennifer is an amazing host and communication was easy. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Family Vacay!
This was such a wonderful vacation with my little family. The house is exactly as described. It was so conveniently located as well. Being right on the beach was very beneficial, especially with small kiddos. Jennifer was a fabulous host and made sure we knew everything we needed beforehand. Updated VRBO, ideal location. Large deck accommodates everyone in our party. Beautiful view of ocean. Within walking distance to the pier at Kure. Avoid the parking fees! Lots of activity options in the surrounding area between Wilmington and Southport.

We enjoyed this location and cottage. We were right on the beach and only 4 blocks from the pier. Great seafood at local restaurants. We walked on the beach everyday and found lots of sea shells and sharks teeth. Pretty sunrises and if you drive to the end of the beach great sunsets as well. House was clean and had what we needed for our stay.

Family Vacation
Property was as described, great location with an easy walk to the local restaurants and the beach was a short and easy walk straight from the house over the sand dune. Carolina beach was less than 10 minutes away with many more restaurants to choose from and grocery stores but you get the quiet environment of Kure Beach. The property owner was best I've ever dealt with. Great communication, responsive and had a lot of helpful info. Beach was clean and not overly crowded. Most laid back, relaxing family vacation we've ever had.

Close quarters, but also close to the beach
Understandable in a busy tourist beach area, the neighboring houses are very close and on this particular week there were some noisy neighbors on either side. All in all a lovely view of the beach with convenient access and a great deck to enjoy the ocean.

Location, Location, Location! I absolutely loved my recent trip to kure beach and staying here at this house! It was our first time here and we had a wonderful time. The house is literally on the beach with your own private access/walkway to the water. I literally went to the beach several times a day because of the ease and closeness. My family was getting ready- I walked for a few minutes on the beach. I had to take a phone call- I walked along the beach. There were so many instances like that and I loved being able to do it. The back porch was amazing as well. The swing and chairs plus a picnic table. It was perfect. The house is smaller in regards to some of the surrounding houses but it was great to me. It was quaint and comfortable and fit my whole family nicely. I will stay here when we come back to kure beach- no doubt in my mind. P.s- if you have kids, you can walk to the pier from the house and the pier store is open 24 hours with great ice cream! Plus, there is an arcade right there too which was fun. P.s.s- Eat at island burgers. Literally, THE BEST cheeseburger I have ever had in my life. It is attached to a little mart but dont let that deter you as it was soo amazing.

Reality Break
Our trip was everything we wanted and more. Part of the group had been to this location previously but it was new to some of us. The home is fully equipped, nicely decorated and wonderfully located. Our trip fell in line with the Lunar Eclipse so we had the perfect view. We were able to walk to restaurants and stores. Being able to walk out the door, across the deck and onto the ocean is like living the dream! We will definitely vacation here again and refer to others!
