Amazing! The walk down to the apartment was a bit slippery, but it was centrally located not just to the slopes but to restaurants and shops as well.
The bus to hanazono slopes can be taken from in front of the Vale apartments, which is just a short 5 min walk away.
There's a code you have to enter before gaining access to the building, and there is no reception in the building.
Ski Japan manages the building so they provide pick up services from the hirafu welcome center, and also offer free transportation to slopes within hirafu incase you don't feel up for the walk.
Apartment is cleaned every 2 days. Provides soap, shampoo, towels and hair dryer. There's a washer but No clothes dryer in the apartment but they do provide you a rack for your clothes to hang dry which usually dries overnight!
On clear days, we got treated to a view of Mt Yotei which was amazing - we stayed in unit #1 on the ground floor.
The apartment itself was incredibly spacious, with everyone oohing and aahing over the space, the decor etc. Kitchen wasn't as well stocked as I'd have liked though. The master bedroom was lovely, but the second bedroom was a bit cramped especially the toilet. The toilet door wasn't the kind that would stay open, so we felt pretty stuffed up especially since the heated towel rack was turned on in the small tiny space.
Overall, a really great space. Good value for money. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!
