The staff were very nice. The property has two locations, make sure you give the taxi the correct location. The shuttle stops quite far away and you have to walk. If you take the later shuttle you will have to find you own way back. There are a lot of taxis at the Bamboo forest. There is a great cafe called School Bus a 100 feet away. It is great food. We were not. If fan of hotel’s breakfast. When at some point I needed a familiar food and the McDonald was walking distance. Metro is cross the street. Rooms are very small but we only slept there so we did not mind it. The hot tea machine in the lobby was a nice welcome since we were cold and I do r like using the kettles in the rooms. If you are going for an overnight visit, no need to pack slippers, toothbrush and toiletries. They even provide PJ if you are not OCD.

The hotel was in a great location, near Kyoto Imperial Palace, and offers a very convenient daily shuttle to Arashiyama Bamboo Forest and one other place that I forgot to take note of, because we didn’t go there. The room for three was comfortable and clean. The front desk staff were kind and helpful.

Small rooms. They don't provide cleaning service for two days stay. Beds are uncomfortable. No coffee in the room. Our card keys stopped working dot at 10am checkout time. They have common washer and dryer but the dryer wasn't working. We put our laundry for drying for two hours and it didn't dry.

Enjoyed our stay, it was right next to the metro/subway station which was very convenient. Hotel offered luggage transport service which was very helpful. Room was spacious compared to other hotels around Japan, and they offer free shuttle to two great places which was amazing. Nice bakeries and coffee nearby as well. Would stay here again!!

Best hotel we stayed at in Japan. Very spacious and love the free shuttle to golden pavilion and bamboo forest. Everyone working there is super friendly and very helpful. The shower and bathroom are nice as well. Will definitely stay here again when we are in Kyoto

The staff here are amazing! They communicate well and accommodate your needs. The facilities are clean, well kept and modern. Theres tons of places to eat in walking distance and i always felt safe and sound in this location. Id recommend this hotel tk anyone coming to Kyoto.

Staffs are very friendly. Subway station is 1 Min away, super convenient. There is free shuttle bus to golden temple in the morning and bamboo forest in the afternoon, big bonus for 1st time visitor.

It's a cute, cozy, no frills but modern-looking hotel with great customer service. Stayed for two nights and met our expectations. Close to a great ramen shop, a great coffee shop/bakery, and other convenient stores. It's a little further out of the way, but is still close to the metro stations. There is an elevator access to the Marutamachi station further up and across the street (look for entrance #5).
