Lack of personal interaction No info about onsite ice even though there was a bucket in the room. ONLY drink machine didnt work. We wont be staying there again. Hall carpet on main level had something smeared all over the place and the elevator smelled horrible. Had access blocked off to microwave

I am not sure what is going on with the Gunter with the closing of the restaurant and the speak easy, but it is still a very nice place to stay.

I REALLY liked this hotel. I even got to see one of the owners when I walked in. Super cool! The room was cute. I love the old hallways too. My only gripe? There was 2 rooms by mine and they were up late drinking. At one point they decided to make it a hallway party.. took a bit to fall asleep. Didn't seem like anyone was around to tell them.

Our stay at the hotel went well. It was a great location on Main St. The hotel was being decorated for the holidays and the room was very clean. It’s a neat place to look around and stay at.

This was a darling and quaint hotel unlike any we have stayed at. Bathroom was quite small. Restaurant had recently closed, so no food or bar on premises. Still we would likely stay there again because of the unusually pleasant environment inside.

We only stayed one of our 2 nights because the bed was so terrible we did not sleep and were in pain the next day. We've never done that before. The restaurant and bar are permanently closed. It is run down and depressing. The floor sloped so badly in the room, the door had a big gap at the bottom. It's a shame. We don't recommend this hotel to anyone. Go elsewhere.

The history here is amazing, as is the woodwork and layout.Parts are truly beautiful, other parts are simply falling apart. It was the absence of other people that was unsettling. I arrived at 8:30pm, but the staff go home at 8:00pm. I got in fine, but did not see another person in the hotel, guest or employee, during my stay. I left at 8:15am and left the key in a bowl as instructed at the front desk. It was an eerie experience to think I was there all alone all night.

Clean, simple accommodation

The room was clean and simple, adequate for my goal which was to get a good night's sleep. I headed for bed around 9pm, and the other occupants were audible in adjacent rooms and the corridor, so I turned on the fan in the wall unit which provided sufficient white noise for a restful sleep. There is a restaurant across the street which opens at 6am, so I went there for breakfast.
