Lake Use in 2025- Town Council and Town leadership are keenly aware of the importance of reopening the Lake as soon as it is safe to do so. Given the timing of the work that has been completed thus far and the need for ongoing work moving forward, it is extremely unlikely that the Lake will be able to open for the 2025 summer season. (This includes motorized and non-motorized vessels and swimming.) For those of you who have been following our storm recovery process closely, this news may not be a surprise to you. I thought it was important to share this news with you directly. Please note that Town Council and Town leadership will continue to evaluate options for opening the Lake or portions of the Lake and we will continue to keep you informed with any updates as new information becomes available.

Breathtaking Home and setting

Blue Ridge Sunrise is an exquisite mountain home with private suites, a game room, high-speed internet, a fire pit, resort amenities, proximity to additional activities, a PRIVATE HOT TUB, and much more! The views from the property are pleasing and can be seen from every room. You will especially enjoy the sunrises, though the sunsets are amazing too. In addition to all of this, you have access to the Rumbling Bald Resort amenities:

You will not even have to leave the resort! The Lake Lure/Chimney Rock area and surrounding communities offer additional activities if you do. This home is 10.5 miles to the Beach at Lake Lure, 11.5 miles to Chimney Rock State Park, and 20.3 miles to the Tryon International Equestrian Center (TIEC).

Great Gathering and Entertainment Spaces

This beautiful resort home has 3 bedrooms (each with deck access), 3 full baths, 1 half bath, and can sleep 8 comfortably (occupancy is 10, and there are comfortable sofas). Its open floor plan and 3 levels make it convenient for a family group and equally nice for 3 couples traveling together.

While there are private spaces, the home also offers ample spaces to gather. The loft above the main living area offers a comfortable sofa and oversized lounge chair with an ottoman, a 55" television, and a large sun deck.

The kitchen is perfect for gathering with a large granite-top island, custom cabinetry, and a 24" TV for the morning news and coffee. The dining table seats 6, and there is additional seating at the kitchen counter. Get your family and friends cooking together in the gourmet kitchen, or go out on the large patio and grill under the stars (the gas grill is near the back entry for ease of cooking near the kitchen).

The lower-level entertainment room has a ping pong table, foosball table, darts, mini-fridge, and a comfortable leather sectional sofa facing an entertainment center with a 50" TV, DVD player, Xbox, and more. If you prefer, relax on the deck, enjoy the sounds of nature, and take in the incredible views. With this house, you get even more!

Perfect Getaway for Every Season: This home is perfect for every season! Spring brings the blooms of dogwood trees and mountain laurel. Visit in the summer when the weather is perfect nearly all the time. The stunning array of colors in autumn is legendary. With the absence of leaves on the trees, winter offers broader views.

AREA WIDE NOTICE: Lake Lure will undergo a drawdown from January 1st, 2025, through the first quarter of 2025 (March 31st). The lake will begin to be lowered by approximately 1 foot per day until 12 feet have been reached. Infrastructure maintenance, dredging, and dam projects will be expedited during this time frame. These efforts by the Town of Lake Lure may affect access to the lake and restrict any lake usage. For more information, click here. The lake will likely be back up to normal levels by mid to late April. While we understand this is an inconvenience, this does allow you to enjoy the full beauty of Lake Lure in the fall and holiday season. This will not affect the smaller lakes in the area, only Lake Lure itself.
