Per the website www.townoflakelure.com: Lake Use in 2025- Town Council and Town leadership are keenly aware of the importance of reopening the Lake as soon as it is safe to do so. Given the timing of the work that has been completed thus far and the need for ongoing work moving forward, it is extremely unlikely that the Lake will be able to open for the 2025 summer season. (This includes motorized and non-motorized vessels and swimming.) For those of you who have been following our storm recovery process closely, this news may not be a surprise to you. I thought it was important to share this news with you directly. Please note that Town Council and Town leadership will continue to evaluate options for opening the Lake or portions of the Lake and we will continue to keep you informed with any updates as new information becomes available.

Creekside Cottage is brand new and ready for you to come and relax and enjoy the sounds of nature! Located in Riverbend at Lake Lure and offers two bedrooms and two baths plus an upper loft for kids or a nice place to escape for an afternoon nap. The living room and kitchen's high ceilings expand this small but super cool and modern home. The kitchen has granite counters and beautiful tile work, and the beautiful tile extends itself into the bathrooms; the hall bath has a large walk-in shower, and the master has a great soaking tub and open shower. Truly a pleasurable home, and we feel confident you will enjoy your time here! This is a quiet, family-friendly area, and we are excited to have you stay with us.

Riverbend at Lake Lure Amenities
Enjoy all Riverbend has to offer. This home is just a short walk to the lakes in Riverbend, Mirror Lake, Little Mirror Lake, and the trails along the Broad River. There is a nice sandy beach on Mirror Lake for your summer enjoyment: swim in Mirror Lake, build sandcastles on Mirror Lake Beach (there’s a play area for children), and have a meal at the covered picnic site complete with picnic tables, rocking chairs, stone fireplaces to BBQ lunch, restrooms, and spectacular views, hike, bike, or jog one of the many trails, or sit and relax by the waterfall and river.

Creekside Cottage is perfect for every season! Enjoy the beautiful snowy weather in the winter, where a cozy cottage feels just right. Great extended weekend

The cabin had everything we needed for an extended weekend and comfortably housed two couples. The kitchen was well stocked with necessities and the hot tub was perfect during the cold evenings. We would definitely use this property again if back in the area.

Glorious stay at Lake Lure

We had a wonderful stay. Great location to Lake Lure and Chimney Rock. Was a little haul to Biltmore. We enjoyed the quiet of the place and the hot tub.

Wonderful amenities.. convenient to all lake lure has to offer.

We spent 5 nights at this lovely cabin. Super quiet and peaceful at all times of the day. We didnt even feel the need to leave the Riverbend Community for 3 of our days with all of the activities offered there. When we did venture out, commuting to Chimney Rock, Lake Lure Beach, the local marina, grocery store, and Lake Front restaurant are all within a 20 minute drive. My family will absolutely want to stay here again!

Excellent for little explorers

We had the pleasure of staying at Creekside Cottage recently. The property was clean and adorable. We loved the layout, and the full size appliances- and my husband loved the huge soaker tub. Our kids, 8 and 5, loved the loft and took turns sleeping in it. The small creek outside entertained them for hours- I was glad I packed their wellies to wade in the water. The beds were comfortable and the clean blankets in the living room were a welcome touch for couch snuggles. The loft has a spiral staircase, so not sure I would recommend for children who aren’t confident on stairs. We would absolutely stay here again.

Nice house on a great lot. This house has the best outdoor and indoor lighting of any home we have stayed in. the small stream was such a soothing and relaxing added touch. The guest bedroom lights and ceiling fan did not work and there is a considerable amount of mold/mildew on the walls in the closet. Luckily our adult children were not able to make it or else we may have had to move as that room should not be stayed in as it is. the only other con was we only had 3 washcloths in the entire house. Has a washer/dryer so I was able to wash them. overall a great but small house.

Perfectly Chic Cabin in the Woods

We had an absolutely amazing stay at the Creekside Cottage. The attention to detail and love that went into this place is apparent the moment you walk in. The bedrooms were cozy and our 5 yr old loved the loft space upstairs which she turned into her own little playroom. The kitchen has everything you need and more. Our favorite thing to do was spending time on the outside deck. The rocking chairs were the perfect place to enjoy your morning tea/coffee and the hammock was a unexpected bonus. I already miss listening to the babbling creek. We only had two complaints 1. There wasn't a hair dryer provided. 2. The previous tenant had taken the gate key and the property management company wasn't able to get us one until 5 days into our stay. It was only after us calling daily and getting stuck outside the gates 2 nights. Not the owners fault, but the management company should have backups. Also, don't be that person - leave the gate key for the next renter. All in all it was an absolutely wonderful stay! Lake Lure is an adorable town. Chimney Rock is a must and the drive to Asheville is a quick 45 min drive down beautiful country roads. Thank you for having us!

The house was amazing—clean and really nice! The location was very, very ideal after we got there.

The experience was A+ except that the GPS sent us the long, winding way. Maybe it gave better directions in the descriptions and we didn’t notice but it needs to be noted and clarified which way to avoid!!!! 😳 My grandsons loved the creek and the lake near the property!

Cozy riverside cottage

We have stayed in Riverbend several times and this has been our absolute favorite rental. It had everything you could need, right down to floats for 2 and life vests for 4. I reccomend families utilizing the grounds itself as we visited the nature trail and swimming hole several times.. its also a fairly easy walk to the nature spots if you are in relatively good shape.. the kitchen came w/ every thing you could want to use. It is MUCH roomier than pictures show. We will be back..
