HICKORY NUT LODGE! Newly renovated, still providing spectacular mountain views straight up the Hickory Nut Gorge are yours from the windows and decks of HICKORY NUT LODGE. You will not believe your eyes as you enjoy phenomenal 180 degree mountain views all year long. The spring and fall colors are fantastic as life returns to the mountains in the spring and the rich colors of fall take hold towards the end of the year. Any time is a good time to visit Hickory Nut Lodge. The home itself is richly appointed with a fully equipped kitchen with a gas stove and a large live edge walnut dining table on the main level. The main level features two ensuite bedrooms each with a queen size bed and private bathroom. The main level is anchored by a floor to ceiling stone wall featuring a large flat screen television and a linear fireplace. The main level can be accessed from an enclosed two-car garage. The second level of the home has a huge master bedroom with a large walk in shower and jacuzzi tub along with a very spacious walk-in closet. Outside the master bedroom is a family room with a gas log fireplace, leather double recliner and another flat screen television so you and your guests are able to enjoy two separate and very comfortable viewing areas. Are you bringing a few extra kids? The second level also has its own kid's room with a bunk bed featuring one full and one twin sized bunk. They'll love having their own private area. Finally, the third level has a very large game room area complete with an air hockey table, a very solid and sturdy foosball table, and a very nice professional poker table. While playing the games you'll be treated to another gas log fireplace to maintain both your warmth and the mountain mood. Of course you and your guests will want to spend some time outside on the decks. The expansive main level covered deck features a gas fire table surrounded by Adirondack chairs, a dining table and chairs, gas grille for cooking as well as other comfortable seating. So pop the cork on your favorite bottle of wine and enjoy the good life here in the mountains of Lake Lure. Grill up your favorite foods and enjoy unbelievable mountain views just down the street from all that Lake Lure has to offer. Hickory Nut Lodge - A Great Place to Stay

Fantastic home! There are 3 floors, with relaxing areas on each floor. Plenty of room for everyone. The game room on the lowest level made evenings very enjoyable, whether playing cards or foosball. The view is absolutely breathtaking from the two upper floors and it's so quiet outside. When we return to Lake Lure, we will check a date so we stay at the Hickory Nut Lodge.

This place was ideal. Each couple, person had his own bedroom with bath. That was primary. The location was great, close to everything. the only thing I would have liked would be able to do some walking outside. We had a great time.

A GREAT TIME WAS HAD BY ALL

Our family (Asheville, Seattle & Atlanta) had a wonderful stay at Hickory Nut Gap Lodge! The view "grabbed" us as we walked in & the beautiful 3-story house had everything we could possible need, including a fun game room on the bottom level. We totally enjoyed our whole family as we cooked & played, & enjoyed the area, as we do annually, treasuring our time together! Thank you! Thank you!

Quick trip

Held a short family get together. We rented 3 places between the family members and chose Hickory Nut as the main get together place in the evenings. Worked out beautifully. Only downside: finding pots and pans, etc., in the kitchen’s lower dark corner cabinets. We really loved the house and it’s convenient location!

I can’t say enough good things about this property. The view is exceptional, the house feels like a home and the kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to comfortably cook meals if you want to stay in. Plenty of space for a family gathering! Jaw dropping scenery!

We opened the front door and there was a collective gasp. We have stayed in MANY mountain houses and have never had such a view. The house made visiting easier….gates and fun times on the lower level and the older set upstairs. We had a week’s stay there and it was wonderful.

Birthday get away

This was our second stay at this beautiful property. I brought my father and mother up for my dad’s 86th birthday! The view did not disappoint with the beautiful fall foliage. It was great for my parents because they were able to enjoy everything on one level. My husband and I used the downstairs bedroom. It was such a wonderful weekend. One of my favorite places to stay for sure!

A peaceful sanctuary with an awesome view!

So close to everything but a world away- this beautiful home was so comfortable and was everything we wanted; Gorgeous views with a level, concrete driveway for motorcycles. Easy access to the Blue Ridge Parkway and other beautiful mountain roads. Minutes from Chimney Rock, and Biltmore but away from highways. Well stocked kitchen, toasty fireplace and plenty of big tvs!! Loved it!

Gorgeous!!!

The view from this house the instant you open the front door is spectacular! We stayed here with family for Easter in April and celebration of my mom's 70th birthday! It had so much room that the teens could be in one part of the house completely different from the the adults. It was beautifully decorated, super clean and had everything that we needed to prepare our Easter lunch. The one thing I will say is if you can arrange your travel plans make sure that you arrive during the daylight, if not you will have the most spectacular view come morning.

Outstanding Mountain View

Hickory Nut Lodge has an outstanding mountain view. The house is beautifully decorated, very clean, fully functioning kitchen and comfortable bedrooms. It's located in a quiet neighborhood, yet only 5 minutes from beautiful Lake Lure. Would love to stay here again.
