Rooms are tired and quite frankly, dirty. The carpets to the rooms are actually sticky, bathrooms have paint peeling and the rooms on the ground floor smell of damp. The restaurant is good but the menu is limited. They have one delivery on a Thursday so if you follow a busy weekend it’s a bit pot luck. One positive was that the beds are comfy and it is relatively cheap. Who is giving 10/10 reviews? They clearly don’t stay away often. 4 stars hotel, maybe in 1980.

The reception and bar staff were very nice and helpful. The room however was not particularly clean. Our bed was left unmade on the second day and debris was left on the carpet so it didn’t appear to have been hoovered. The window was broken so could not be opened. The thermostat on the shower was faulty being either scalding hot or stone cold. It was not an expensive hotel so overall it was fine for a short stay but it could have been better.
