Made very welcome at reception when booking in after only booking the room a few hours earlier for an unexpected treat for an early birthday surprise All staff very attentive and very welcoming The roof terrace bar is very classy and very clean had a lovely view of the sunset in front of us Very Comfy bed and pillows adequate size room and without doubt a brilliant location for las canteras beach and the Santa catalina bus station The only reason we have marked down the hotel is because the air conditioning didn’t work ( set at 28.5 and unbearably hot in the night ) and there was no instructions of any kind to even attempt to override it , for woke reason our telephone also wasn’t working but as soon as we informed the front desk they kindly arranged a fan to be sent up immediately

This hotel was in a good area and was clean. Unfortunately the pool in the photos was non-existent, there was no air conditioning or fans - only a thermostat showing how hot the room was ( 29C most afternoons), the roof bar was noisy and once it closed you could hear all the furniture being dragged across the roof, the balcony door did not lock among other problems. The front desk was unfriendly. We had a tour based at the Isabella Hotel a few blocks away - their front desk was welcoming and very helpful. Suggest look for other hotels in the same area.

We had a great time, the service was impeccable and the receptionists (Pablo, Paula, Didi) were welcoming and helpful. We got some good restaurants recommendations from them and the food was delicious. 100% recommend

Amazing location a stones throw from the beach & city. As a new build there were a few teething problems, the hotel is not finished & I would strongly recommend the hotel informing guests of this pre booking as we encountered a few issues which if we simply had of known even if it was related to us on arrival by reception would have made it a much more pleasurable stay. Staff were amazing, friendly & helpful. I can see the hotel will be lovely once finished & would defo stay again.

Un hotel aceptable pero sin Acc desde marzo es inconcebible. En agosto en las Palmas de Gran Canarias, la burra todo el día y noche, humedad y calor y una calle peatonal con bares con terraza que les da igual la hora, un barrio con mayoría árabes. Y el remate hay una discoteca frente al hotel que se llama Imsonmio, y tiene horario de las 6 de la mañana a las 12 del medio día y como hace calor fuman en la puerta y charlan. Todo esto implica que si no tienes Acc. no puedes cerrar el balcón y si está abierto no duermes. Te dan un ventilador pero da igual porque entre el ruido del ventilador y los 28 grados de la habitación cerrada es una sauna. Te ofrecen otro hotel, te regalan el desayuno y el personal es increíblemente amable, pero la dirección no arregla el litigio con la compañía eléctrica y creo que es una pena ya que el Hotel Occidental las Canteras es un gran hotel.

Der Aufenthalt war wirklich toll! Ich empfehle die Junior Suite zu buchen, da manche Zimmer recht klein sind :) Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Man kann sich Strandhandtücher ausborgen und es ist nur 1 Min vom Strand entfernt. Es gibt viele Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Restaurants und Busse in der Nähe und die Rooftop bar kann ich nur wärmstens empfehlen! alles in allem eine 10/10!

Hotel reformado en un buen sitio
Hotel reformado con mucho diseño pegado a la playa de las canteras. El sitio es magnífico. El hotel no tiene restaurante por lo que solo da el desayuno. El sitio es genial y el diseño también. La cama es muy incómoda, me parece indigna para un hotel de esa calidad. El colchón se hunde y las camass con ruedas no tiene freno por lo que acabas la noche separándote de la pared y la cama de al lado con una sensación incomodisima cada vez que te mueves. Es horrible
