The hotel looks quite dated, though the rooms were great and freshly renovated. However, my low rating is due to a strike of hotel employees near the building. They were shouting all night long with megaphones, and even though we stayed on the 21st floor, it was extremely noisy, and we couldn’t sleep

Wow. What a disappointing stay. We have stayed before but wont be back. We "upgraded" our room. When we got there - the fridge was full of open tequila drinks and reeked. There was BLOOD on the bathroom wall. Ibcalled repeatedly for 2 days and nobody came to clean it - i eventually did it myself. No restaurants were open except the steak place which was so overrated and so expensive. Room service for breakfast was cold, hashbrowns were burnt and covered up as if we wouldnt taste it, my bagel was like rubber! It was just dirty overall. The slots werent hitting at all, not even once. Theyvwere on stroke and blaring music outside to try and dull the protesters but just nade everything worse. Trash all over the grounds. Broken glass too! Just an overall crap experience for New Year's Eve and a friends wedding. Never again. If I could give a ZERO stars I would.

I’ve always heard about Virgin hotels but never had to chance to stay in one of them until now. The property has some good dining options and bars with Funny Library Coffee Shop being my favorite one (the Mexican Hot Chocolate was great). I loved everything about the room, clean, spacious with a great design. This might sound silly but I loved the full size amenity bottles in the shower, which also smelled great. The staff was great, specially Lala who did our check in and mentioned the available upgrades we had and put us on a high floor. The only thing that caught me by surprise was the deposit at check in but that was my mistake for not reading, however I got it back right after checking out. This was a short trip but I’m looking forward to come back.
