Rental Company was horrendous
Rental company refused to furnish a timely confirmation in the guests name despite numerous requests. Their rental agreement indicated it would be furnished within 7 days of check-in (even though Wyndham does not allow cancellations later than 15 days before check-in.) When they finally provided the reservation confirmation ( not the guest certificate) there were two confirmation numbers indicating this was a back-to back reservation that was not disclosed in the listing. They replied to my repeated requests for a guest confirmation indicating their "policy" was not to issue the guest confirmation until the day of check-in, even though their rental agreement indicated otherwise. When the guest tried to check-in, the resort indicated the reservation was still in the owners' name and not the guests. After numerous calls by both myself and the guest to both the resort and the rental agency, ONE of the reservations finally was transferred to the guest's name. However it was only for the 1st 4 nights of the 7 night stay. On the ending date of the 1st reservation and the beginning of the second, the same fiasco was repeated. The resort actually called me at one point indicating the guest needed to check-out of the first unit and could not check-in to the second unit until the reservation had been transferred to the guest's name. The rental agency did not get the reservation changed from the owners name to the guests name until 3 hours after they were forced to check-out of the first. I expect a full refund of this reservation due to the rental agencies breach of contract to supply a timely guest confirmation (twice!) and the lies and miscommunications expressed by their representatives to me in my efforts to get these situations resolved.
